FCCJ Fall '09???

So I'm waiting for grades to be posted for Spring semester and will be applying for Fall 2009 with 196 points (I know my grades already). I'm taking Micro this summer. According to the other posts, I have no problem getting accepted. Here's the kicker... I just found out I'm 7 weeks pregnant!!! I'm excited and scared to death. I don't want to put off the program a semester and then it turn into another and then another. I'm strong, determined and focused but that all goes out the window when you're pregnant, or so I've heard and read. This will be our first child. I don't know what to do. Any advice?

The nursing program is 4 semesters (16 months) so if you start Fall 2009 you will graduate at the end of Dec 2010.

Is this true?? That would be awasome if it was a mean taking the summer term makes sense. Let me know!!

Also does anyone know that if you clept out of enc 1101 but took a college chem class if they would use that in your points instead of the english??

Im not sure about clept tests ask an adviser... but does ayone know what CPR we need cuz the application says 8 hour CPR but on FCCJ website under Programs of Study for RN program it has a link to sign up for BLS with CPR class. it was only 4 hours. i dont know which one we need...

Yes Summer term is included in the 4 semesters. And as far as the CPR, as long as it is an American Heart Association BLS CPR class then that is what they want. My CPR class was only 4 hours.

I CLEP'd out of 6 CR of english back in '79. When I spoke to the advisor I was told to take ENC1101 anyway....if you use the CLEP, they will only give you an equivalent grade of "C"!

Retook the NAT today - and I'll be applying with a 199.4 (assuming they take the highest score from both NAT tests - I actually went down a couple of points in one section but did much better in two others). If they use the 'most recent' NAT score, I'll be applying with a 197.48. I applied for summer with 185 and change and didn't make the cut off by 4.94 points.

Did anyone send in their application yet? I wanted to know which CPR certification we need... Thanks I'm taking the NAT next Tuesday!

I haven't turned my app in for the Fall but I had turned it in for the Summer. You have to have BLS Healthcare Provider Certification. You do not have to have the copy to turn in with your application, but you will need to have proof upon acceptance into the program. You can get it through the American Heart Association.

I will be applying for Fall 2009. I haven't taken the NAT yet or CPR. We dont have to take CPR unless we get accepted? Correct? Is there anyone applying that isnt in Duval or Nassau? I am in St Johns and I feel a little hopeless like I have no chance since I am not in those counties. Is this a permanent change? Does anyone know?

Hi. I am in Duval county but did ask about the policy.

I went to the North campus today and met with an advisor. I asked about the rumor of "no longer accepting applications from counties other than Duval or Nassau". She said that she heard of that last week, but that was NOT the policy. The policy is stated clearly on the application. Duval and Nassau are given first priority over other counties. Hope that helps

Taking the NAT tomorrow after Microbiology... I am so nervous Help!!
