FCCJ Fall '09???

Anyone else planning on applying to FCCJ's nursing program for Fall '09? I figured we might as well start a "support group" thread of sorts for those of us who are. Never too early to start, right?

timble how many points do you ahve??

The place you pick up your skills kit has some inexpensive BP cuffs. You *need* to have your own. You will use it in class and you have a sheet to fill out that shows you did 50 BPs on friends, family and neighbors...plus, for OUR clinical instructor, she insists that we have our own BP cuff there and to use it instead of the automated BP machine.

Sorry if my post was not up-to-date. I bought one, used it for my 25 BP on ppl and then it now sits on a shelf. That was a waste of money to me. But if you need it more now, then buy one by all means.

Well hgerun5, I have 188 not so high... 2 of my classes didn't go into the point scale, because I just took them this summer... So, I am praying that the cutoff is below 188.. What is yours?

wither 188 or 193 depends if my english got there??

Not a problem misswhitney! :D You know how clinicals can be when your instructor looks at a student like they have lost their mind if they don't have what the teacher expected them to have. The first week, none of us brought our BP cuffs. She looked absolutely shocked and told us we better have it with us after that!

I'm unfortunately the first to post the point range ;(

The cutoff was 190.72. Good Luck to all that have to apply for the Spring :)

BTW, There were 568 students that applied to the program this fall (wowzers!!!)

i had a 190.1 points there are 25 ppl in front of me so maybe ppl wont except there spots...does anyone know usually how many ppl get in off the waiting list??

Twins1995 and hgerun5, what county are you both in? I didn't get my letter today again either. Wow, that is a lot of people applying and now I am almost sure my points and me being in Clay may mean I am not in. :(

I have not received a letter either. I live in St. Johns County though and my points are above the cutoff. Hopefully tommorow will be the day!:banghead:

I left a message the other day to accept my seat. Does anyone know if I had to do it today or just by today?

crtm0924,

A message is enough, I called Monday and left a message, and called again yesterday to be sure. I actually got a live person yesterday and they already had me marked down as accepting my place.
