Fall 2012 lpn classes

I guess I will get us started...

2: how long is your program

3: why are you becoming an lpn..

4: how much is your program

Featured Replies

1: What date do you start/school name: September 4th/North-West College

2: How long is your program? 15 Months

3: Why are you becoming an LPN? I have wanted to get into the healthcare field since I was a kid. It may sound cliche, but I do love to help other people and I want a career where I can give my all the helping other people every day, and be proud of what I do for a living. I have tried to get into the RN program at the community college, and there are too many people to even get a seat in Anatomy and Physiology. I would love to eventually earn my RN. It is my dream to work in psychiatric nursing eventually. :)

4: How much is your program? $20,000.

1: 5 September - OU BOCES, Orange County, NY

2: how long is your program 10 months from September - June

3: why are you becoming an lpn.. Next step on the track to Psych NP

4: how much is your program $11.5K

I've been behind the scenes for quite some time...thought I'd make this post my first :)

1. August 27 ~ Northampton Community College, PA

2. 1 Year

3. couldn't get into RN at time of application, so doing the LPN and going into the RN after

4. I'd say roughly 10K and that is with books

good luck everyone!!

just an update. school is going well. Im doing med surg now. I dont think its a hard class so far its just a lot of reading. This class is running with pharm 2 which is fun. I seem to like relating the drugs to the disorders. my little count down says 97 more days to med surg final.

Congrats on still being in the program! Have you lost anyone so far? We start MedSurg I & II after Christmas along with Maternal Newborn. Right now we are on Pharm/IV, A&P, and Fundamentals. Do you do all of your courses and then move into clinicals or do they mix in the clinicals as you go? Almost halfway there... can't wait!

Last semester...so nervous Hesi Exit...have to pass with a 900! Being a nurse is my passion...currently a cna/rehab tech...didnt want to be on long waiting list....Hesi OMG!

I started August 2012 and will finish August 2013. I am in Michigan.

Cost in about $6,000.

I plan to bridge to the RN program because none of the hospitals around are hiring LPNs but I can't afford to wait 6 years for the program.
