Jul 27, 201213 yr My program starts August 2othMy school is Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction ColoradoThe program is 9 months long and costs roughly $7,000I am becoming an LPN as a first step in the university's career ladder program where you can gain preferred entry into the AAS and BSN programs. Ultimately I would like to be either a Nurse Midwife or a Nurse Practitioner. I have already been grilled as to why I'd want to be an LPN and not just go for RN. Honestly, I'm 37 years old and don't have the luxury of years to spend on prerequisites for the BSN program like all the 20 year-olds do. I need to enter the workforce as soon as possible. Plus, I believe it will benefit me to experience nursing at all levels. I was a CNA previously and I believe that having been a CNA will make me appreciate the ones who I will work with more.
Jul 28, 201213 yr Hello!!I'm doing an RPN program here in Ontario, Canada1. Mohawk College, Hamilton ON September 5th2. 2 years (4 semesters), will be finished April 20143. I've always wanted to be a nurse. If I have to work every day, I want to spend it helping others and making a difference. I also am very interested in medical things. 4. In total, about $8,500 CAD:)
Jul 28, 201213 yr Good Morning (or Afternoon, depending on your time zone, I'm on the EC) everyone!1. I start the Practical Nursing program at Everest Institute in Southfield, MI on September 4, 2012. Orientation is August 7.2. The program length is 11 months. The graduation date given is August 16, 2013.3. I am becoming an LPN in order to facilitate a career in nursing. I am currently on a waiting list for an RN program, but who has time to wait? Once I am licensed, I am eligible for advanced placement in the very program I am waitlisted for. I plan to get my ASN, BSN, and then seek a higher degree to become a GNP or CRNA. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it, but I do plan to be an advanced practice nurse.i too start the lpn program soon.i start august first and graduation is june 24,2013 i am so excited to further my career,i also would like to be an RN
Jul 28, 201213 yr I start 10/25/12 @ Ptec st.Petersburg,Fl.I go to orientation 8/15. I can't wait to get started and become an lpn. The cost $7000.
Jul 28, 201213 yr I start Lincoln Technical Institute in Center City August 8thMy program is a 1 yr programI am becoming an LPN because I applied to Northeastern Hospital School of Nursing twice and was denied, the first time in 2010 because my GPA was too low and this year because I failed the Teas V test by 1 point I think I couldn't concentrate because I was 3 weeks away from my due date. I got turned down by Community College of Philadelphia of this year because I scored a high score on the NET but, because others had higher scores they got chosen first and I didn't want to put my career on hold any longer so I have decided to become an LPN and then do my RN online at Excelsior online which is better for me anyway so that I am able to work. Then I would later like to either become a Nurse Practitioner or a Nurse Anesthetist. My program is $27,000 its a lot of money BUT, I have to do what I have to do to start my career I am 24 years of age with 2 children I want to provide a good life for them, depending on food stamps for my family to eat and or living pay check to pay check is not an option for me nor will it be in my future.
I guess I will get us started...
