Congrats, CRudler. That same feeling hit me as I walked out of the hospital in Amarillo in late 2005. I wasn't expecting a ticker-tape parade... though the Chariots of Fire theme would have been nice at least. :)

Been there. The CPNE didn't live up to the hype that I thought it would be. Studying eas over.....what next? Excelsior College was truly addicting once I made through the first exam. For me, that feeling lasted, the one you have now, until I walked out of the NCLEX exam 75 questions later! (I couldnt evev bring myself to study for that: wrnt in there armed with nothing but prayers and walked out an RN!) Then the celebration began!! And get this, it was started by my dad celebrating so hard, you would think he was the nurse.

Your gloomy feeling will pass! Count on it!

Thanks Lunah...I love the smiley with the stars! too cute! definitely put a smile on my face this afternoon...and I just found out today that the hospital I want to apply to hires GN's in their Emergency Room! So excited to get this full time job show on the road!

Okay, I'm going to appologize in advance about this little vent I'm going to write. So I passed the CPNE August 19-21 and I'm not nearly as excited about it as I thought I would be....I don't know what's going on. I feel down and out when I should be celebrating a HUGE accomplishment. Just wondering if anyone can give me any advice. Thanks again and sorry for being a debby downer...

Do you think you can compare CPNE to NCLEX for us? In terms of stress, preparation and difficulty? Just curious if I may be over some sort of a hump once this huge clinical is over with. I keep hoping with all of our visits to Pearsonvue and a few challening exams, we may have some sort advantage to the BIG TEST

Let me just put it this way: I would rather take 10 NCLEX exams than ever ever ever take the CPNE again. Seriously, after the CPNE, the NCLEX is a bit anticlimactic. That's not to say that you don't need to study for the NCLEX, but I am good at taking tests, and I finished my NCLEX with 75 questions in less than 45 minutes.
