Countdown....

12 more school days!!! Kids get out the 21st and staff are off the 23rd. I am at the end of my emotional rope this time of year and so are the staff and kids.

Today I had a 2nd grader hit me with his lunch box several times because I wouldn't give him his ADHD meds early and then when I did go back to his class to give them....he drank from his bottle of water and threw the rest of it on me. Then I had another 2nd grader go into my clinic and read through my emails on my computer that was up/open. Now, I work at a magnet school and these are very smart kiddos. Smart enough to know how to act.

So, today...in the words of Forrest Gump..........

18 more school days!!! And this Wednesday for School Nurse Day is also a minimum day! Yay!

Our first day back for staff is July 29. I want to know what happened to the summers that were almost 3 months long? When I was in school we got out in May and didn't go back till after Labor Day. :-(

Mine is August 18, not too much after. My charter school's year is actually longer than the public school (they schedule 190 school days, then we have 5-6 professional days as well). But I hear you! When I was in HS, I ended the first week of May and usually went back a couple of days after Labor day...

Yeah here we're in class until mid-June, but at least we don't go back until September.

We have 30 days left here and it looks like we go back on Aug 22. Students starts on Aug 26.
