Charge pay

How much do you get for charge pay? We get 8%. We have a cap of $2.00 per hour, and a regular charge nurse who gets 10%. She works 4 day a week so we get the other 3. No way is it worth a few bucks! Mabey time and a half...............I like to have my assignment, and not worry about all the other stuff, pt complaints, staff whining, ....

Ours is 75 cents an hour

2 dollars per hour extra...here..surely not worth the hassle....Just stick me in the trauma rooms!!!! Today was my first time in 3 months not charge...just in a the trauma bay!!! A totally different feeling of responsibility!!! Im probably the least payed RN in my ER...have 80% travelers/ Agency..most make over 40

Our facility charge pay in the ER is 15% of the base

actually a tidy sum

however I will never charge again anymore

Ive done it for 75 % of my career

No Mas No Mas

.50 per hour at my parttime job. Not worth the effort to remember the code, really.

ZERO extra where I work!!!!

We get a flat $2.00 an hour. (I work on a 40-bed Med/Tele unit).

A whopping 75 cents an hour!!! That's why no one wants to be charge!!!

I was well compensated at the only job where I did charge. I/we got 15% above base pay. I did it part-time for 18 months then full-time for 2 years.

They couldn't pay me enough now or ever again, ever. . .

Zero where I work too! Really not fair when you think about it is it???? :o

I did the charge thing for 2months - after that, I was willing to pay them not to be in charge. Its glorified babysitting. The whining and bickering between the staff. More power to anybody who enjoys being in charge.
