Hello everyone. Happy Hump Day! We are almost to Friday!
Anyways I had a question in regards to CE courses. Are there any CE courses for school nurses you are aware of? I reside and have my license in texas. Thank you all in advance for your responses. Have a great day!

I get a lot of mine off of the txhealthsteps.com. They offer some free ? online courses that cover topics applicable to school nurses. When you go on their webpage, you should see "COURSES" at the top of the page. Click on COURSES. Then, under the "Course Finder" box, select "course" under the Format and then FIND. You should now be able to access the courses that give you CE credit. While some (like Breastfeeding) won't apply there are ones on Concussions, Culturally Effective Care, Diabetes, Immunizations, Mental Health, etc. that would definitely be applicable to School Nursing/Pediatrics.

The larger children's hospitals offer summer courses (usually 6ish hours) of education. You can attend remotely.

Region 12 in Waco holds a 2 day Nurse's Conference in June.

Texas here too! I get a lot of them from Children's Health https://cmcd.community360.net/default.aspx and their CNE program. They're all online so its been awesome to squeeze them in when I have a little free window or just need to break away from my "to-do list"
