I just talked to the Dean at North and she said that I'm in at the Allegheny evening program, which is fine. I heard some bad things about professors in the Allegheny day program-- which I'm not sure are true or are just inuendo-- but she said they are trying to make it up to me since it was their mistake. She was really gracious. She said they are preparing my letter, which they have to send to Allegheny and then it will be sent to me.

She also said that we do our registration at orientation. Anyone know when orientation is?

According to my letter and to Joan, the person I was supposed to make my registration and uniform fitting appointment with, my registration & fitting are on Dec 14th and my orientation is Jan 6th or something like that.

Your letter will probably give you more information. But yay, you're in!

Nah, Im not sure who else is in Allegheny night, but maybe they can give you the # to call and you can make your appointment earlier. OR they could be doing everything differently for the night program. Who knows. At least youre IN, right?

Woot accepted to calu ^_^. Kmoty since you first letter was a denial do you need any info such as uniform fitting dates? There was also a letter for a $35 CPR class at calu Jan 8th everything has to be back before then but it says your fine if you take that class if anyones interested.

I just signed up for BLS for healthcare providers through Allegheny campus. It's 50 bucks, and I hope it satisfies the CPR requirement.

Your fine :) the letter states you just need healthcare provider CPR I assume it also has to cover infants, children, and adults. As long as it covers that your set ^_^

To those that are still trying to get their stuff done and waiting for letters. Child Abuse Clearance & Fingerprints should be done asap cause they take about 2 weeks. I don't have health insurance so I went to the health dept. for titers and Walmart clinic for TB. Titers take 2 weeks to come back. We are required to get 2 TB tests 10-21 days apart, so that should be started. The titers they absolutely requre are german measles and Hep. B. All the other ones, your doctor can fill in dates of immunizations. Immunizations include: MMR, Hep B, Tdap, Chicken pox (or date you got the disease). Stethascope, I got from Amazon.com. I asked around to current nurses. For good clarity and value, I was told Littman Classic II. It was around $60. Lots of stuff to do. Congrats everyone! We worked really hard to get here.
