Breakfast before a 12 hour shift..

What do you usually eat? I find myself running out the door without breakfast......what do you make?

I eat a serving of Yoplait yogurt, a half peanut butter sandwich (on wheat), and a Kashi pumpkin spice flax granola bar. The key is having protein as it sustains you longer than carbohydrates. The yogurt and peanut butter cover that, and the 4g of fiber in the Kashi bar helps with a feeling of fullness as it is slower to digest. I have a history of glucose drops, but this is the formula that works best for me. I usually last 6-7 hours before I feel hungry now!

I have peanut butter on a slice of whole wheat toast and a bannana. If I have time to make it I scramble some eggs and wrap it in a tortilla shell and have a bannana. However, I usually over sleep and do not have time for the eggs.

Great thread!!! This morning I had two eggs cooked in cooking spray and two whole wheat waffles. I wasn't hungry again until around noon. I think this is going to be my regular breakfast for now on. Greek yogurt is another favorite of mine.

I eat a whole wheat bagel (fiber is filling) with lots of cream cheese and a big glass of milk. I also down a teaspoon of fish oil w/this. I think the oil is a satiety trick, and fish oil is so healthy.

Good brain food to get through a busy morning!

I always have a bowl of oatmeal. Oatmeal can be cooked up quickly in the microwaye. Add a glass of orange juice and I am full for several hours.

Eat real meals; your body will thank you.

Scottish oatmeal and tea - keeps me full until lunch.

I package my breakfast the night before. Like, if I'm going to have cereal for breakfast, I pour my cereal in a bowl, add the milk (I use powdered milk), and close the lid. In the morning, I just pour some water in it, grab a slice of bread and eat. I always make time for breakfast.

jimmy dean has these awesome 50 second microwaveable sandwich which are low cal (like 250?) and takes 50 seconds to make also it's way better tasting then mc donalds... can be found in the refrigeration section....

made my mouth water typing that...

mmmm

I definitely need breakfast. What lasts best is either a Protein shake or a piece of toast with cottage cheese.

I used to not eat breakfast but now a days I'll have a bowl of cereal in the AM and perhaps a piece of fruit.
