Bravo LTC Nurses!

Aside from one clinical rotation in nursing school, I've never worked in LTC. I just wanted to say that after reading many of the threads here, you couldn't pay me enough to take an LTC job!

You LTC nurses are heroes! Working in a highly stressful situation without adequate (to say nothing of optimal) staffing, you care for and protect some of the most vulnerable members of society, and for the most part you manage to do it with grace and style.

You are underappreciated, and that is a shame. Each and every one of you deserves a medal!

Kudos!

Oh, so true!

Thank you :)

"you couldn't pay me enough to take an LTC job!" you couldnt pay me enough to work anywhere else, it is crazy & frantic but I love it.

I posted this because I have a sib in LTC (only 56 years old, but medically fragile) and I am just in awe of his nurses. You folks simply rock!

It is often a "thankless" job. Appreciate the pat on the back more than you know!

Just wanted to stress that it's VERY often thankless.

In that case, here is another THANK YOU!

(I've known my brother all his life. He wasn't the easiest person when he was young and whole. I sure wouldn't want to take care of him now, as much as I do love him. And then multiply that by thirty more patients? I'll pass, if it's all the same to you!)
