Applying for Gordon Nursing Program Spring 2010

Hello All,

I am applying for Spring 2010 admission at Gordon. When is the application deadline? I do not need to take any classes at Gordon so I applied for Spring 2010 admission. I have not received an acceptance letter and that has been two months ago. When I check the website, it says that all of my information has been received, but my transcripts have not been evaluated or at least no grades have been posted for me as of yet. I need to apply to the program and take the TEAS, but I know that time is running out. I am beginning to get very frustrated! Can anyone help me or give me a name of someone that can help speed this process along? Thanks so much!:wink2:

I think that your advisor lifts the hold so that you can register yourself, although I am not sure. You may want to confirm that with someone currently in the program.

I can't wait anymore.....I just can't..........

I know for the fall you could not register until you went to orientation. That is where they unlocked your self register. You sit through all this boring stuff and then at the end of the day you meet in groups in the computer lab and there are 2 "advisors"/ instructors who help you self register. But I could not register until regular registration and after you had went to orientation.

As I am looking over my gdn account, it only shows two days that i can register Nov 19th and Jan 7th. Does this mean anything? Does everyone only get two days or is there usually a window of time? Okay, so looking at the calendar apparently these are new student orientation days. Does this apply to nursing students as well?

Does anyone know if the decision letters will be out some time this week? I thought that we would have them by now! My goodness!

I spoke to my advisor and she said that the decision letters are still not out yet, but hopefully they should be out by the end of next week! Oh my goodness! I am trying to be patient, but this is ridiculous!

Exactly what is the problem.....geezzzzz

Hello, my advisor on Oct.20, sent out an interesting email that said this" If you are currently in the Nursing Program, I have already unlocked you since your classes are set and you do not need to see me unless you have specific questions. If you are pre-nursing please be aware of the new guidelines for acceptance. Among other things you will need to have a minimum 2.5 GPA to be considered. (2009 minimum accepted was a 2.8) hint hint.......You will need to have no lower than a C in all core classes. For my P.E. advises, please make appointments as soon as possible. .....They have already chosen and if you look at your Bannerweb the registration dates are unusual, I have never had a time to register starting at 2 pm, it has always been 7:30 am,mayb we will get the letters this week or next week, we have too, registration is Nov 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outlaw5,

I did notice the unusual dates and times for registration. My dates say November 19 and January 7 I think from 1-5. Is this supposed to be an indicator that we have been accepted into the program? I just wish that they would hurry up and send out the letters already!

GaMommy,

Have you attended new student orientation yet? because the next one in fact on Nov 19.If I remember correctly , when I went to orientation I sat through some boring stuff in the morning and around one o'clock I was unlocked to register.

Emile,

I haven't attend a new student orientation yet. So I guess that the info on Banner just means this is when I can register for classes, not necessarily that I am accepted to the nursing program? That is just wonderful! The wait is treacherous!

Seriously they have had since September. I am sure that there are a lot of applicants but how hard is it to say yes or no. What makes me more upset is that they already have picked everyone. So what is the hold up all you have to do is mail the letters out. It is so frustrating that they are just taking their time.
