Hey this post is for all us taking micro and/or physiology this spring.

As for me, I'm taking both.

Anyone else?

micro is one of the harder subjects in prenursing, chemistry may be harder..but its about 15% harder than anatomy. I wouldnt take those two classes together, i'd take micro in summer school since its got a lab with it. you need to make very good grades in those classes to get into a rn program. my school only takes those with 3.5+ gpa and a 22+ on act and you may not get in with that.

thanks for the info! Lol. I'm a science person and aced both advanced and physical chemistry as well as advanced biology. I can handle them. :)

I'm taking Micro/MLab, Chem2/C2Lab, A&P2/A&P2Lab, along with two other classes. It's not very fun having 3 different science tests on the same day. Which has happened. The lectures are one after the other lol.

Yes. I feel you. Luckily, mine are on different days. I work about 20 hours a week on top of that waitressing.

I'm thinking its doable. I'm just cramming it all in cause I wanna be in NS already! Lol

Yeah, for sure. Hopefully "suffering," for lack of a better word, now will pay off this fall. Did you apply for this upcoming semester?

No couldn't fit organic chemistry with working. I'm applying next spring for next fall. So you can see why I am cramming them in.

I hate being pre-nursing. Everyone asks if I'm in nursing school. Nope, not yet. Lol

I'm taking Micro starting in March (we're on trimesters). I'm a little nervous but I've done really well in most of my bio classes (I'm a bio major, graduating in the spring), so I hope it goes really well. I'd love to get an A, but we'll see, since I am taking other classes, too.

yea definitely. Good luck

All I can say is that it can be done! Last quarter, I did anatomy, physio, micro, pharmacology and ethics. By the end, I gained 5 pounds, but I still got a 3.7 gpa.

I started Micro Jan 19 and it's really hard. I am not doing well at all. I just started tutoring today and I made flash cards. Anyone else having trouble with Micro?

I heard its part conceptual part memorizing.

Flashcards worked for me when I took anatomy.

I don't know about micro. I'm starting class tomorrow. Lab first. I heard its really interesting

I'm looking forward to.it!

Hey, Im also taking A&P2 and micro together at the same time. Its tough, but so far so good. I got a 98 on my first micro exam and 94 on my A&P2's first exam. Its def accomplishable.

Micro is interesting, your learning about bacteria and the immune system (you'll learn that in AP too) so it makes sense.

You just have to use your time very wisely and study, study study.. Good luck
