Ok, so maybe this will get moved to a new forum...so be it.
I just saw an ad for a medical assistant program at a for profit school. A young lady talks about how great it would be to work as an MA ('cutting edge technology' and all that fun stuff that we know MAs deal with all the time). However, the part that I found funniest--and most annoying--was at the end of the ad, the young lady turns 90 degrees and say "plus, there is all the cute scrubs!"
Sorry if this post sounds rude, but I found the ad particularly hideous (and I hope this person gets a job where they make her wear a uniform of solid white scrubs!).

Wonder what "cutting edge technology" the dingbat with the Most Adorable Scrubs will get to be involved in?

yeah, i've seen that now. good luck buying all those "cute scrubs" when you're paying back that ginormous school loan.

Y'all realize that chick in the commercial was a paid ACTRESS, right??
ummmm....yeah.....no kidding. Do you really take us for idiots?
The ad was obviously directed to the like-minded, like-dressing young women who would be taken in by such advertising...THAT was the point of our comments.
I thought that wuz for realz.

Well I obviously struck someone's nerve, didn't I?
Btw, I don't know many middle aged men (or even women) who are looking to settle for a basically minimum wage job in some doc's office somewhere so maybe advertising was on to something with that ad? Just a thought....
You didn't "strike a nerve", you were insulting, shouldn't surprise you to get the response you did...and it was quite calm, thank you.

I guess I don't get why anyone would spend two years and close to $20k on an MA degree when you could get an ADN and wear the same cute scrubs. Because we all wear scrubs.
