Hmmmm ... how much are pardons going for these days?

Just askin'

You aren't expecting transparency from the grifter in chief, are you?

For some of them it seems loyalty to MAGA such as the reality stars, whose daughter spoke at the convention.  For others it seemed like ideology like abortion.

I think it's naive to think that money isn't changing hands.  We are talking about the Trump family here.  They have a history.

Trump repeated his claim about millions of the criminally insane pouring into our country. Many pundits think he equates people seeking asylum with patients from insane asylums. I wish a reporter would ask him to clarify that.

But even if millions of criminally insane entered our country, wouldn't they be more obvious ? I mean, would there be more crime, or people showing up in ER with psychosis? I should think ICE ought to be able to find them, rather than snatching up people who are working, or showing up for court appearances?

Filings for U.S. unemployment benefits rose to their highest level in eight months last week but remain historically low despite growing uncertainty about how tariffs could impact the broader economy.

New applications for jobless benefits rose by 8,000 to 247,000 for the week ending May 31, the Labor Department said Thursday. That's the most since early October. Analysts had forecast 237,000 new applications.

In reporting their latest earnings, many companies have either lowered their sales and profit expectations for 2025 or not issued guidance at all, often citing President Donald Trump's dizzying rollout of tariff announcements.

Though Trump has paused or dialed down many of his tariff threats, concerns remain that a tariff-induced global economic slowdown could upend what's been a robust U.S. labor market.

The Trump economy.  I was struck during the Luttnick testimony on the Hill today that these wealthy men don't really internalize that most Americans cannot navigate the price increases from tariffs in the ways that the wealthy can.  That disparity is going to get worse.  That's a side effect of having wealthy leadership that considers empathy a sin.

Here's more evidence of Trump's destabilizing and negative influence on the economy.

Global economic prospects are weakening, with substantial barriers to trade, tighter financial conditions, diminishing confidence and heightened policy uncertainty projected to have adverse impacts on growth, according to the OECD's latest Economic Outlook.

The Outlook highlights a range of risks, starting with the concern that further trade fragmentation, including new tariff hikes and retaliatory actions, could intensify the growth slowdown and trigger significant disruptions in cross-border supply chains. Inflation could be more persistent than anticipated, especially in economies facing substantially higher trade costs or with tight labour markets, prompting more restrictive monetary policy and weakening growth prospects.

The current policy will require some scarcity and austerity for the working class so that the wealthy can afford to invest in onshore businesses.  Is that an accurate assessment?

This is like a soap opera.

Uh oh. The bromance is over.  Now Musk says that Trump is in the Epstein files and that's why the case isn't public record.  I wonder if Musk accessed government documents about the Epstein case through DOGE.

I liked it when the reaction buttons gave more than up or down but still, this is what the laughing emojis were designed for. Just think of the above emojis going on for infinity.

Brilliant men are generally very stubborn and don't collaborate well with other people on their level.  I didn't expect this relationship to last very long but am thankful for Musk's help in fighting the authoritarian threat in America.

The POTUS is apparently considering selling his Tesla. I bet he'd be a good car salesman.  He could make deals everyday.  Would you buy a used car from Trump?
