Why do you suppose the felon who misappropriated money from a charity and cheated small businesses as a business model is keeping Venezuelan oil money in Qatar Bank accounts?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-venezuela-oil-revenue-qatar-bank-b2901312.html

We should just trust him and ignore the history of authoritarians and the assets of countries they steal and conceal, right?

I suppose he did it for this reason...

…”He has also said it's important that proceeds from the oil sales directly benefit Venezuela and prevent those with claims on Venezuelan oil revenue from getting access to the money that the US is now generating from those sales.

Trump issued an executive order Friday in which he said any such attempts to put liens, garnishments or other legal judgments claiming those funds are blocked. The order said if the funds were not free from such legal entanglements it would "substantially interfere with our critical efforts to ensure economic and political stability in Venezuela.”

He is trying to help the people of Venezuela!

You didn't answer the question. What will Trump do to stop the "law breakers"? Even if he sends in troops,  what will have them they do? Just shoot anyone who takes a video of ICE or blows a whistle?

The people who break the law should be arrested. That is what he is already trying to do with ICE, arrest criminals who are illegal. American citizens who break the law should also be arrested. It is the job of the government to do this. If peaceful protests turn into riots then it is no longer a peaceful protest. If people are obstructing LEO from arresting law breakers it is no longer a peaceful protest. If people are vandalizing gov property, stealing gov papers and guns it is no longer a peaceful protest. If protesters are harassing those they feel are not on their side it is no longer a peaceful protest. Like I said it is the gov job to enforce the law. Anyone who breaks the law puts themselves in that situation and yes may be arrested, harmed or even shot, not rocket science to most of us!

And if ICE agents are breaking the law, such as breaking into homes without warrants, ,should they be arrested?

If an ICE agent grabs a minor, assaults him, steals his phone, is that breaking the law?

What do you mean by harassment? Citizens have the right to free speech. They can yell, curse and blow whistles.

If if if, what is the context and where is you source?

If a Mayor tells his police "to fight ICE in the street" should he be arrested? Sedition, Insurrection hmmm what would the charge be.

Do you listen to yourself when you write this?

Does January 6th mean anything to you? That was protestors rioting and breaking the law. Use the same sentences you have written above about them.

Oh no, you won't because the party has told you that what you saw with your own eyes did not happen and you should only believe what they tell you.

"The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” "And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into history and became truth.”

"If the facts say otherwise, the facts must be altered.”

1984 was meant as a warning, not a blueprint.

A good deal of the protests are peaceful and some are violent and the law should be followed.  I don't see really needing the insurrection act (last time was during the riots in California after the Rodney King beating became public).

Again, it always seems like people want to look at the protests and not what they are actually protesting.

Polls are showing that the majority of Americans across both lines are not approving of the aggressive tactics that ICE is showing.  I don't think that while people are being arrested they should resist and run because shootings will happen.  Many African Americans have learned that lesson.

People also don't like hearing stories like a woman here for years arrested and not allowed to say goodbye to her dying son and is fighting to attend his funeral.  It makes ICE look heartless.   https://www.kptv.com/2026/01/12/teen-dies-cancer-days-after-mother-arrested-by-ice-shes-never-gonna-see-him/

Some people love Trump's get tough stance, but also in an election year it might bite him in the butt.

I heard this poll on NPR today:  Most Americans Now View ICE Negatively Since June, ratings of ICE have declined broadly: favorability has dropped by a net 10 points among Democrats (from net -71 favorable to
net -81), a net 12 points among independents (from net -22 to net -34), and a net 15 points among Republicans (from net +60 to net +45).

Also there is a disconnect between what they want the President to focus on and what is news such as most of us don't want Greenland, we want lower prices.

The idea that the protesters are not peaceful is a necessary narrative to justify excessive use of force by masked agents of the federal government.  It's remarkable to observe citizens advocating for this escalation to a police state by the president of peace.

This is where Trump supporters should look up the meaning of "police state" and consider how to defend our current trajectory under Trump's leadership.

I don't think you really should change the subject as you don't know how she feels about January 6th violence which was widely criticized by both sides of the aisle.  We are talking current events.

When the protest on that day turned violent the protestors were dealt with and arrests happened.  Unfortunately Trump pardoned them all but we've already covered that topic.

Sorry, I'm not trying to change the subject, I'm just pointing out the inconsistencies in the thinking and writing of the posters. Why are the ongoing protests bad when apparently the January 6th protests were misunderstood and they were all good people despite 8 people dying, 5 of them LEO.

I think that's a Trump stance, not the stance of the poster you quoted since you don't know her stance.  Trump did call them patriots and it a "beautiful day" and pardoned all the criminals.

No one here has said the Jan 6 riot was a good thing.
