Military planes fly hundreds of training missions everyday over US cities and in the same airspace as civilian aircraft.  Does that mean theyre bombing cities and shooting down planes?

I can't believe we're having this discussion.  Am I being punked?

There is a case to be made that an anxious military member makes a mistake, or one or more goes rogue.  But, once again,  your side is overplaying your hand.  Instead of sticking with a reasonable argument,  you have the need to throw out there that there will be no rules of engagement and that civilians will be used as target practice.

Slow learners, the Trump haters are...smh

Wow, a simple " I can't explain what POTUS meant" would have sufficed.

And I doubt the general officers listening to his demented speech could have explained what he was saying either.

Reasonable people could listen to Hegseth say "your job is to kill and wreck things" followed by POTUS bragging about sending in troops, and worry.

IOW: when they show you who they are, believe them the first time.

This is what I'm seeing:

trump will do anything he can get away with as long as it gets him money, power or laid. He's also clinically demented.

Hegseth is a predatory drunk with serious mommy issues and a history of assaulting women. He's also watched way too many John Wayne movies.

Both men are massively incompetent at their current jobs.

And they have one of the most powerful military organizations in the world to play with.

What could go wrong?

There it is - right on schedule! The strawman ... so predictable.

I was actually echoing trump's and hegseth's  own words regarding their vision for the military (and national guard). And you know that. Are you now saying that both men are liars?

It is your extreme interpretation of their words and vision.

I just said I can see scenarios where things go wrong.  So yes, reasonable people do worry.

That's not where your side started with, is it?  This discussion started with the claim that Trump would be issuing orders to shoot unarmed citizens.  And, it has been said that raw recruits who had been beaten by their training officers would be arriving in these cities without rules to follow, and they'd be using citizens for target practice.

Now, we're down to reasonable people should worry that something bad will happen.

That's a much less extreme and a reasonable view.

And of course there is nothing extreme about the words your side are using.

It's funny how you say I deflect, and then this....LOL

Anyway, what extreme words and interpretations have I put forth?

Your using that word, but I do not think it means what you think it means.

I said your side. Pay attention.

When I was saying "your side", I was talking about things that people were saying here.

You should follow your own advice.

Exactly! Do you not think some of the rhetoric is a bit extreme?

Just because you don't agree with someone how does that make them "the radical lunatic left?" How about "kill the homeless?"

The "kill the homeless" comment was wrong, apologized for, and no one defended it.  There certainly isn't an ongoing narrative on it.  So...

The "radical lunatic left".  I don't see that being all that extreme.  The description fits for some.

Hey Grumpy - did you notice that he never answered your question? Or his comment that the "kill the homeless" remark is unimportant because nobody is talking about it?

Signed: the Radical Lunatic Lefty, still looking over there ...

I'm not sure what question you're speaking of?   Feel free to ask me directly.

I'm also not sure of the importance of the "kill the homeless " comment.  What am I missing?
