Citizens are already being targeted by federally mandated violence. What makes you think that sending raw recruits, fresh from being beaten up by their trainersi, with no rules of engagement, into cities to fight the "enemy within", would be less violent than ICE?

BTW, I suspect that I'm not the only one who noticed that, once again, you have carefully avoided actually making your case. Target practice =|= intelligent discussion.

    You paint quite the dire picture.  Where you getting all your info from?

    What case is it that you want me make?

    Perhaps @Beerman can explain what the POTUS meant about using dangerous cities as training grounds? Does he want National Guardsmen doing parade drills up and down Michigan Ave, ? Obstacle courses? You've seem to have ruled target practice.

    Military planes fly hundreds of training missions everyday over US cities and in the same airspace as civilian aircraft.  Does that mean theyre bombing cities and shooting down planes?

    There is a case to be made that an anxious military member makes a mistake, or one or more goes rogue.  But, once again,  your side is overplaying your hand.  Instead of sticking with a reasonable argument,  you have the need to throw out there that there will be no rules of engagement and that civilians will be used as target practice.

    RULES OF ENGAGEMENT!

    Why would you even need "Rules of Engagement"? You are dealing with your own citizens, you should only need those rules when you are dealing with the enemy. 

    You had Rules of Engagement in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why would you need them in downtown Portland or Tulsa or name any city?

    I was actually echoing trump's and hegseth's  own words regarding their vision for the military (and national guard). And you know that. Are you now saying that both men are liars?
