I went to Lynn's workshop in August and thought it was good. We had 20 people in there and I thought it was way too cramped. You may want to do to EC's workshop instead but that only if you know your critical elements and the labs because they validate what you know.

Lynn's workshop IMO is for people starting out in their studies and needs direction.

IMO I would go to Excelsior's workshop and get it from the horse's mouth. I went to Lynn's and she's a great person don't get me wrong but I didn't like paying money to hear her talk about her personal life. We were also given incorrect info that I did clarify with EC advisors. Just my :twocents: :)

I havent taken EC workshop, took Lynn's last month. I found it extremely helpful, she answered all sorts of questions, does get a little carried away about her personal life. But she puts things in a way to help you study and prepare for the CPNE the easiest most practical way. She has a mini lab so you can practice all stations. There were some there who had taken both and said EC was not a teaching workshop, if you want someone to observe you and critique what you are doing than that is where you should go, they don't teach. Lynn's is more a teaching workshop, she goes through everything to help you study and prepare to pass your CPNE on first try.

Thank you this is what I need the teaching part have not done clinicals in over 2 yrs.

Good Luck to ya T-Bone. Traci

Yeah, I took Excelsior's and it was really more preparation for the paperwork. There were too many people for too few workstations and, as to misinformation, the EC workshop guide had a glaring omission that cost me a PCS.

Went to Lynn's workshop in August with NC Girl and agreed it was too crowded. It was also the first time Lynn offered the extra lab day and it was pretty disorganized. For me, Lynn's was a validation of what I really already knew so it was valuable in the sense that it decreased my nervousness about CPNE. If you haven't written a Nsg Care Plan or done daily documentation or haven't used your clinical skills in a long time, it is a good workshop. There is another workshop you may like in Wilkes-Barre, PA given by a woman named Tina; I think it is called Northeast Clinical Prep and address is http://www.necpneworkshop.com. Contrast and compare to see what fits you best.

Good luck.
