Which of the nursing pre-reqs did you find the most difficult?

Anatomy, Chemistry, Microbiology or Physiology?

Would you say that Chemistry was the hardest? I've taken Chemistry in high school and it was a nightmare. I'm pretty good at memorizing so any science courses that doesn't involve a lot of math would be good for me.

I'd say Chemistry, at least for me, I'm taking it for the second time this semester. If you're good at memorizing things then A&P will be a breeze for you. I still have to take Microbiology so I don't know about that one but all the other courses were a breeze for me.

Hm... I would say A&P II. Of course I won't be sure until this semester is over, but it's not only tons of memorization and detail (like A&P I) but also connecting everything and getting the big picture for the study cases.

Physiology is tough for me. I am great at math and memorization so did fine in chem, microbio, and anatomy. I'm taking physio now and I had to refer to the A&P for Dummies book to spell it out in plain English. I also need to look at a lot of animations. I'm getting an A so far but it's definitely more work than the other classes were.

I will say so far a&p2 ... so far is a pain...

A & P 2........

I'd say chemistry was the hardest, of those listed, because it required meticulous lab work, which I despise, and lots of math. I didn't take chemistry as a nursing prereq. I took both of them with my first science degree (10 yrs before nursing school) so the chem. I took was at another level than what the nursing and agriculture majors had to take.

A&P1.

Everything else was a breeze by comparison. I had no life when I took A&P1. On the other hand, A&P2 wasn't nearly as frustrating, and I loved Micro & Chemistry!

I miss the pre-reqs. Nursing school is way worse:uhoh3:

micro, too many bacterias and diseases to remember, I hated the lab. That was the only prereq that I got a c in.

I thought general chem was pretty straightfoward and easy. For the most part, if you understand a few basic rules, it all falls into place. Once we got into organic and biochem, I was lost!

Yep, I felt the same with ochem. Completely different game.

I just dislike Math it doesn't come easy for me as other subjects. However, I am sitting at a B right now. #fingerscrossed# hope that's what I finish with. I am looking forward to A&P next semester. My girlfriend is taking A&P now and it is tons of memorization. I am going to enjoy these prereqs for now as someone mentioned earlier its easier than actual nursing school. It is foundation for what's to come I just know it.

Chem. by far. I can do math- I just hate it. As far as I can tell chem is just one mah problem after another. It also didn't help that all the TAs couldn't speek english. I'm not comfortable in conversational Manderin.
