Jun 23, 201313 yr Just curious what other schools grading scales are like.I'm in an RN program. 94-100= A93-89= B82-88= CAnything under an 82% even an 81.9999999 is failing
Jun 23, 201313 yr 92-100= A83-91= B75-82= CBut my school is trying to change the grading system so is normal (ex: 90-100=A)
Jun 24, 201313 yr Mine is normal A (90-100) etc. but our grades are weighted.60% of our grades come from tests, 25% from homework etc. Anything less than 80% is failing

It sucks, because my nutrition professor made her grading scale like nursing so whenever I'd get a 90, I'd be happy for a second until realizing its a B! Lol
Jun 24, 201313 yr Anything below a 79% is failing for our school. I finished last semester with a 78%.....so lucky me gets to repeat :/
Jun 24, 201313 yr Just curious what other schools grading scales are like.I'm in an RN program. 94-100= A93-89= B82-88= CMy school's grading scale is very similar- specifically in the Sciences. Some professors grade on the regular scale though. I'm not sure about our SON though, so I'll find out in the fall.
Jun 24, 201313 yr We have the 90-100=A, etc but you have to have a 76% to move onto the next semester and they don't round up. So a 75.9% means you're repeating.
Jun 24, 201313 yr My School.. Anything Letter Grade Description Grade PointsA+ 90-100 4.0B+ 85-89 3.5B 80-84 3.0
Jun 24, 201313 yr 95-100 = A85-94 = B75-84 = CGood thing about it is that you can get different 'levels' of B's and C's (i.e. a 94 B = 3.9 GPA, a 93 B = 3.8, etc.) so this stringent grading system doesn't absolutely kill your GPA. You must have a 75% exam average in the class before any thing else is factored into your grade (clinical paperwork, etc.). You can have 100% on everything else in a class, but if you have a 74.4% EXAM average, you fail the course. If you make below an 80 on an exam, you must do automatic remediation with the professor, plus a mandatory referral to university tutoring service.
