What prereq classes are you taking this fall? How many to go?

I'm taking Algebra-- Last One before Spring Nursing school application!

How easy would you say Stats and growth & development was? I am still undecided about taking organic chem, social stats and growth/devel or critical thinking

Growth and development Is pretty easy if you like psych. It's all about what happens at certain life stages.

I'm about to start my 3rd semester in my nursing program, so I'm obviously done with all the pre-reqs I needed for my ADN program. However, I still have to finish some of the pre-reqs required by the RN-BSN program I plan to attend after graduation.

So this semester I'm taking PHIL 2303 which is "Logic" along with Med Surg 2 and Pharmacology :uhoh3:

@tikyut, I hate math but really liked statistics. It is applicable to real life. And any type of psych (besides research) is interesting and easy.

This semester I am taking A&P2 (with lab), Micro (with lab), and Human growth and developement.... this is my last semester of prerequistes before I apply for the nursing program in January. In the spring I will be finishing up classes for my AA and to get me a step closer to getting my bachelor's degree later on. :D

I will be taking Chemistry 106 and College Algebra. Planning on starting Associates Nursing program in the Spring. I'll have one humanities class to take next summer. I took my entrance exam today (Kaplan). We were told that the average score was a 73 for that test. I got a 70. :( I'm hoping that is not going to hurt me. But so far I have a 3.875 GPA, and hoping that will make up for my below average score. Since I have not had Chemistry yet, I ended up studying more chemistry stuff incase it was on the Kaplan, and ended up being all anatomy and physiology questions...not a single chemistry question! When I reviewed A&P questions in my study book I got all those questions correct and they seemed easy. But on this Kaplan exam, they asked questions in a way that you had to critically think about what body system was doing what. Very tricky! Won't find out till October if I'm accepted. Not sure what I'll do if I'm not...

I'm taking speech communications, Latin 1 & 2, and trying to get into an anatomy class. That will leave organic chem & physiology! Do all schools require chem 2 before taking organic?

A&P I, intro & developmental psych, bioethics, academic seminar, & library research! Just starting out as a freshman! :)

I am taking Chemistry & Lab, biology lab and this class I need to take for points, Career Exploration....does your university do that, the points thing? After this semerster, hoping all goes well...will take A&P1 lec/lab and microbology...then take A&P2 lec/lab, then God willing I will be able to petition into the program...any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

My Last semester of pre-reqs:

Chemistry 2

Speech

Calculus

Diversity in Healthcare ( first NURS class!)

Goodluck to all!

Hopefully this is my last semester and I can get into the 1 year program that starts in June of 13. I'm taking General Biology (retake as my first go around has expired), Micro and Gerentology.

My school is a 2 year program that doesn't require any pre-reqs beyond high school biology and chemistry but I'm taking micro this fall so when I start the nursing program in January I'll only have my nursing classes to worry about. Eng, Soc, Psych, Math, A&P....ALL DONE!
