So the thread about "Has all nurses got boring thread" got me thinking about why I joined all nurses and what was my very first thread I started back in January 2005??
Without looking I am sure my first thread went something like this (after the introduction thread)
"I took the NCLEX and I think I failed" seriously!:sstrs: I actually asked that question!
So without cheating and looking back, what was the very first thread you think you started?

I wish I had a clue. I even tried to cheat but my listed posts only go back to 9/4/2010.

I searched back and although not the first , it made me cry :) as it brought back so many memories Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you : myself :tbsk:. I am offially an active nurse starting on July 15th :(07/15/2009) @ 0430!!!!!!!! and I can't deny the great emotions that come to my mind as I rejoice all the hardship and exciting times I encountered whilst in school! I made it and can't get over it!!!!!!! I want to cry (again) and my jaw hurts from trying to hold my tears back.I made it through school with four kids and my supporting husband and my kids helped to keep the house clean!!!!!!!!!!!! We all did our part and I was fearful of failing them. I can't wait for the next 4 hours for my kids to wake up and give them their breakfast with the great news!!!!!!!!!!!! They will be so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank YOU Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unlike many of you lucky people i had to wait 10 long night awaiting for my license to be posted, did not wait for anything else. The trick confirmed my gutt feeling! YEYEYEYYEYEEY I'm a Nurse and now time to sleep and be happy for the life and career a head of me...I SEE the Light!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My first thread in early 2005 asked a simple question: Why are doctors so rude?
To keep a long story short, I was accused by some other members of being a troll!

Mine was probably one of the questions made fun of in the other thread you speak of!
If I'm not mistaken, I think it was asking you experienced nurses opinion on working full time and NS, as in, could it be done. I'll answer my own question now. Nope. Lol. Not for me anyway!

Oops! I looked it up before I knew you would consider it cheating! (based on reading thread title before opening the thread).
I was asking about salaries for clinical research coordinators in the SF Bay Area, because I had an interview for a CRC position back in March '09 (after 5 months of hospital nursing I was already looking to switch to a job with 9-5 M-F hours). Didn't get any useful responses, but also didn't get offered the job, so it didn't matter. Am now happily ensconced in a 9-5 M-F nursing job that I really enjoy!
Oh, and when I listed repeat topics in that other thread, I wasn't really meaning to make fun of the topics or the people posting them. What I didn't say in that other thread is that I think that repeat topics happen in all Internet forums, as new people join the forum -- and of course, if you're not interested in the topic, you don't need to click on it! (I do agree about the gripe of people NOT using descriptive thread titles though!)

I cheated, had to go back and look and decided to post it again - from 2006.
I'm still an executive secretary (26 years at the same place) but I am also
an LPN now and work PRN in a pediatricians office after hours clinic and I love it!
Best thing I ever did was stumble upon ALLNURSES; the posts can bring you
laughter and sorrow but always comfort in knowing someone else out there has
felt the same way you do, and if you want something bad enough, you can
get through anything.
(I'm new to this site; and new to nursing - after 20 years as an executive
secretary I'm finally trying something that I've always wanted to do. Been reading alot of threads, good, bad and downright scary things about nursing. But this thread, really touched me. It's not discouraging -this person has given 20 plus years to a career and is smart enough to know
when to move on; and I'm sure has some great stories to tell. Anyway, thank you for the thread and you would make a great writer!)
Good luck to you.

it was probably something about nursing's image in the media or about the devaluation of senior staff.

Yesterday is a but hazy-I sure can't remember that long ago...I do remember the old crowd of frequent posters-lots of controversies-and then a bunch of them left this site because of the strict moderating. Anyone remeber Mario? I finally had to block his posts-I got hypertensive....

I remember Mario. Often have wondered what happened to him. Was really bored one time and did a google search on that interesting name. At least one person of that moniker was traveling in Europe it seems. He posted some pics online. Probably isn't even the AN Mario.
