I just earned my CMSRN and need to turn my "congrats!" letter and certification card in to my HR office, and they will make me a new nametag that has My Name, RN.. and then under that, CMSRN.Nurses who have their BSN's also get to have BSN on their tags under their names. Since I have a BA, shouldn't I get to wear that on my nametag? I mean, it really isn't a big deal... but I'm kinda proud of my bachelor's degree and most people that I work with don't even know that I have one. I know it really doesn't pertain to my job much, but OTOH we have the "clinical ladder" at work and anyone who has a bachelor's degree in anything, can use that towards their clinical ladder.
I haven't even asked them yet, so it isn't like they said no. But do you all think I'm lame for even wanting it on my nametag?
I'm in the dark here. Could you please tell me what CMSRN stands for? Thanks ahead of time.
