This is still necessary especially with initial application. I still have to do it again for my recent renewal. In my experience approval time is around 3-4 months. Depending how quick you send all the requirements as they will not start reviewing until all the needed documents is available. Goodluck.

Hi khibz, may I ask if they also dont required you to send transcript from school? I was trying to do an online renewal and I just thought they won't require my transcript anymore... how about your IELTS , did u just pay them to have it sent to cgfns?

For renewal no need to send the transcripts. With IELTS you need to retake the exam and on one of their questionnaires, there is an option which authority you need to send the results of your IELTS. No need to pay anything.

I am filling up the Request for Certification or Verification of New York State Licensure form and there is this item that really confuses me. It is under Item 2: Licensee information, It is asking about the "Name Originally Licensed Under". I am not sure if I'll put my name under which I was licensed or the name of the licensing authority.

hello, pls let me know because im confused in what to request is it visa screen or 212 certified statement, and how much the difference? im an international nurse, currently living in canada. got my ny license recently. I attended a school here for my integration program and it is an english school and the school was in the approved list. Am i exempted from the visa screen?

if you are the main applicant for the visa and it is employer based then to meet federal requirements you need vsc

is not employment based category. I am planning to apply for TN visa once i get my citizenship.

Then it is employment based as you need a letter of employment from employer so yes you will need vsc

yes but im just wondering if im eleigible to apply for 212® certified statement vs. the normal visa screen that u have to take the laguage requirements.
