kcalalang, did you tell her it was your first interview? I'm sure they would put that into consideration. They are so nice.Interviews are so nerve wrecking no matter how many times you've done them. I've only done two before this for my jobs, the last one was 4 1/2 yrs ago so I was freaked out I was gonna be bad. Lucky I had the day before off. I'm sure you did better than you think, we are all our own worst critics. Getting the interview is the hard part, I'm sure you'll get in. Chances are actually very good. I think we started off with what a 60% chance, then consider everyone who will deny. Stay positive, I'm praying for us all! GOOD LUCK!

Wooooo!!!! Good Job TheRedOne!!! Congrats!:yeah:

Thanks! I seem to remember you saying yours went really well too, yay!

Good job on your interviews everybody! I'm sure you all have a spot in Spring 2010. It was only two weeks until I knew I was accepted officially. I bet they try their hardest to get you your packets before Thanksgiving since UTMB is closed Thurs/Fri of that week.

lcap,

Traffic is bad if you get stuck between 5:00-6:00. It's much worse right now because of the holidays since the outlets and the mall and other stores are right off of 45. It lightens up after Christmas. Don't let the traffic discourage you, I'm sure the classes will not let out at the same time as rush hour starts.

cjack15,

I felt that way, too. It was the easiest and most relaxing interview I had every had, and I've had at least a dozen. I'm sure you're in. Just have to wait a couple of weeks for the official word. Congrats!

Have a happy weekend, everybody. Congrats to all!!

congrats theredone!! you guys are so lucky your interviewer told you right away! i think this is the worse part for me now...waiting to know...

i don't remember reading the interviewer giving the green light immediately on any other threads..you guys musta really knocked it outta the park! i'm so proud of you guys!

hopeful, did they say admit during your interview too?

I don't know about the traffic getting any better...I go down to galveston all the time since my parents have a place there, and i'm there at all times during the year and it seems like its always there...

Hey Everyone! I wanted to let yall know of a super easy way of getting your CPR certification out of the way. The American Heart Association has an online course you can do for 17.50 After you do the online portion you go and do the test for a instructor for 40 dollars. I did this through a couple who teaches classes. The website for the couple is spacecoastcpr.com You can take the whole class with them for 60 bucks as well. They are very laid back and it is very easy. It took about an hour to do the online portion and 20 minutes with them to do the tests. Hope this helps!

Thanks Casey Tate..looks like they are mobile too!

congratulations everyone! you guys are just a few days away from the beginning of a new chapter in your lives.

for people willing to travel and save money this place is located in league city cpr for adult and child is only $27. here is the website http://www.weecareservices.com/id3.html

i took my cpr class here two weeks ago and they were great.

cards issued are american heart association

Thanks Jade! Hope we all have some good news later this week. I plan to keep checking econnect like crazy for any changes. I go back to work tomorrow (was off for 6 weeks) and won't be at a computer for most of the week, but I will find a way.

Thanks for the CPR link, we have a lot of choices. I'm not sure were League City is, but I will google it.

Rest easy everyone

The woman who interviewed me said that they will not be letting us know for about 2 - 3 weeks

Good job everybody! Sounds like your interviews went great. I've gone from being happy with getting into the generic program to completely freaking out again. They say I've never taken US History I!!!!!!! Akkkkkk! I graduated with a degree where something counted for that, but I guess UTMB wants the exact course (I took history of the American West at UT). Gaaaah! Do they take CLEP? I guess I could learn History pretty quickly, but I thought I was DONE! *sigh* freak out, freak out, freak out...
