UTMB FALL 2014

Judging by these threads, I feel like theres more people not knowing their status than those that do. Does anyone know how many they haven taken so far? I know they take about 120 for the semester

Well I still didn't get an update today. Maybe after my interview on Thursday hopefully?!

I called admissions today and they told me all denial letters have already been sent so if anyone hasn't heard back yet that means you are still being considered! :)

I am definitely relieved! I applied in December and my MyStar application has been complete since Jan 14th. I interviewed February 10 and have my honors interview tomorrow.

@AScibby, I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE EMAIL TOO!!!! :) I had to call the school of nursing to have my interview cancelled for the general nursing program, but my honors interview is still scheduled. I AM EXCITED!!! Hoping to hear back from UTHealth and TWU-Houston soon as well, but hearing this news was just awesome!

Congrats @gaca111 and good luck at your honors interview! I applied to UTHealth as well, but I don't think I will get an acceptance/denial until after the deadline to accept for UTMB. If you do decide to go to UTMB, I hope to meet you! :)

Yeah, I'm afraid that will be the case with me as well! If I end up going to UTMB, then I hope to meet you too!! :)

Anyway, thank you very much! I am nervous for the interview. I am not expecting to get in because I know they are extremely selective. I imagine everyone to be of super intelligence, and I consider myself to...not be, lol! I just work hard!

I do not like to call because I always feel like I am bothering someone and I know that they have a lot going on right now and I should just be patient. However, my husband pressed me to be persistent and to not give up until I get my answer either way. He also made the point that maybe my application is sitting under a pile on someone's desk and they might never know that it wasn't reviewed unless I brought it to their attention.

I do find it odd that the 3 of us interviewed early in this first wave and have not received any news, especially after other people who interviewed a couple of weeks after us did not have to wait very long at all. Maybe ours was put off to the side or fell through the cracks? Hopefully ours will be looked at today and we will receive some good news tomorrow! :)

Sorry I am just now responding to you! I was having trouble responding the other day. Anyway… CONGRATUALATUIONS ON GETTING ACCEPTED!! (: (: I knew you would since you got an honors interview, though. (;

I still haven’t heard anything. /: My interview was almost a month ago and they told me two weeks, as an estimate. I totally understand what you were saying about not wanting to call. I feel the same way, because I feel like I am always just pestering them. Especially the way they seem to get me off the phone very quickly. My best friend, who started the program this semester, has been encouraging me to call and email them everyday! Haha.

I did send them an email today, and hoping for a response since calling did not really work out. I just want a decision. I never thought I might be hearing from UTHealth before UTMB, since they interviewed me so early! I know your also applying at UTHealth, what if you get in there too? Do you have a preference of the two? (I don’t know if you have applied anywhere else.)

…. disregarding the honors scholarship of course! Haha. That’s a full ride to UTMB

Did they recently send out denial letters or did they did it long time ago? I just asking because I am still waiting for interview.

Wonder when they went out and if it's by email or regular mail...have a friend that's still waiting for interview invite.
