UTA Spring 2012

Just an FYI to those who have been accepted to the AP-BSN Jan 2012 program...

Hi BJBAILEY, I am new here...partnered with Baylor and on the wait list:( I am so stressed and hate waiting! The nursing dept said we can expect a call up until the day before class starts...crazy!

I presume you still haven't heard anything...seriously, you would think I was waiting to hear I had a kidney or something...this is soooo torturous! Haha...

those of you who were accepted this round...will you please share your stats so the rest of us know what to expect? gpa non science gpa partnere/ unpartnered and hesi score?

I got my official letter today via Uta email!!! I'm so excited. Partnership is the key, this was such a blessing for me to get on@ HCA not having any experience. God is so faithful! My gpa was not the best (3.0) so I know partnership plays a huge role in getting in. I've read countless emails of people with exceptionally high gpa's and didnt get it. All I can say is keep praying n what God has for u is for u. It will come, don't give up! Oh yeah and my hesi math score was 92 lol but overall 85. I'm so super excited praise the Lord! God is so good! I can't stop praising him!! I give God all the glory!!

Congrats Judyduckett!! I just saw you in the group on fb. It's great to finally put faces to names. Yes, God is good. I'm not partnered, so I am truly blessed at this point. I've already decided that I will not take my spot for granted because there are so many people waiting and wishing to take my place. The stress that UTA has put on everyone is what they use to keep everyone focused once they're in the program. Again, Congrats!

I am with you!!! I am on pins and needles more than when I was awaiting the birth of my girls...lol!!! My husband thinks I am crazy:) He is checking my email daily though bc I now have him in knots!!! I know I have done all I can...partnered with Baylor, great grades, and great Hesi scores. It is in God's hands now...I just keep praying! The online is my best option with kiddos, so I really hope it works out:) Best of luck to you!

@cmapes - I am with you... I am sure we will both get in this semester... I just wish they would get to it already...haha. But the wait will make the news even sweeter...

No worries about the new to blogging thing...we all started somewhere...the good thing is - you found this forum. I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for all the folks on here that have posted their journey, successes, frustrations and heartbreaks during this process. We have all laughed and screamed and vented on here - about our classes and instructors and really everything. I think it has immensely helped us all...so again, welcome!!

Yes guys u will get in...plz be patient with Uta they are so inconsistent with info. Keep checking your email...I actually never got a call...just email.

You do get some extra consideration if you have taken a certain # of credits with UTA and if you have a prior Bachelor. In honesty, though, the most important thing is to be employed by a partnering hospital. It doesn't guarantee you a slot, but you will have a significantly higher chance of getting in over those of us who may all the "bumps" in the world, but are not employed by a partner hospital.
