UC Davis MEPN 2020

Hello everyone!

I did not see a thread for UC Davis MEPN 2020 start so I thought I would start this since applications open up next week ? has anyone written a personal statement? I can't find any specific guidelines for what to include

The transcripts are to be sent to both NursingCas , as well as UC Davis?

Davis receives them from NursingCas I believe.

Thanks livewellmm for your responses! They are helping my anxiety. I feel as though I messed up and am sending my transcripts way too late. Bummer. Does anyone know if nursingcas wants them in by 8/1, or would they have liked to already verified them against our entries by 8/1? thx

That is awesome to hear! How many are in your cohort? Did you feel prepared from your pre-requisites for the courses? What is the work balance like?

There are 48 of us, the pre-reqs are definitely the best way to prepare, especially Anatomy and Physiology, the work balance switches quarter to quarter but for the first you shouldn't try to work more than 12 ish hours a week or you won't be able to keep up, there are 7 courses so it's a lot of organization and staying on top of assignments

do you start with your first few quarters in class only and then clinicals later? Or do you begin clinicals right away? Do they place in UC Davis med center or other hospitals as well?

Clinicals start the first quarter, they place in several hospitals and facilities in the area including community placements. UCDMC is an option for hospital placement

Is anyone willing to look at my NursingCas response? I'm super late in the game.? Hopefully I have something that is decent.....

That’s okay, I’m happy to look over it if you send it over. I made a new email without my first and last name for privacy lol. Send it over to [email protected]

I had a lot of people read mine as well to get some other perspectives.

Hi everyone! I submitted my application a few days ago for this program. I hope everyone's doing okay with theirs!
