UBC 2021

Hiya folks!

It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.

Is anyone else already excited for next September?

I hope I am not the only one still finishing up my application the night before it is due ?

Hi! Don't stress! You can do this! Don't forget you have until 11:59 pm tomorrow to submit! You might want to finish at least a bit before that though ?

You are not alone!!!

Hi everyone! For the first question of the last section, did you guys write a response that was close to the max character limit? I feel like my answer is too short but I'm not sure what else to add.

I didn’t try to meet the max word capacity in any of the answers. If you feel like you were able to say what you wanted to, then I don't think there is any need to extend your answer

Oh, okay. Thanks for the reply!

Hey guys! What does your application status say? Mine says "Your file is ready for an academic assessment." I am worried that it only mentions academic and nothing else, so I was wondering if any of yours say that?

Thanks!

My application status says "Your file is ready for an academic assessment. We ask for your patience as this may take some time."

Mine says "Your file is currently being reviewed by the faculty/school" but I submitted my supplemental a few months ago.

Mine still says it’s waiting for my final transcript.... my university sent it on Jan 22. Is anyone else still waiting for UBC to process their final transcript?

Mine says "your application is currently being reviewed by the Faculty/School. This can take some time and we thank you for your patience. We will provide you with an update as soon as we can. You can continue to check the status of your application here on the Student Service Centre."
