Hi! Nice to see things are moving forward for everyone! My application status got updated to “your file is ready for an evaluation” yesterday and I submitted my supplemental the night of the deadline. So not sure what the process is...maybe it’s cause my other documents have already been received/reviewed? I was just curious, did everyone who has a Bachelor’s degree apply for exemption from the English requirement? I missed that deadline and don’t know if it will effect my application. On the supplemental I just put “requirement met” because the advisor said I did meet it with my degree.

Hey! I’m in the current upper cohort ? Unfortunately none of the placements including preceptorship are paid. ESN is a paid job which you can apply for after term 3, it is not connected to the nursing program at all and so is completely additional to the program school work and clincial/preceptorship.

Thank you! I have a few more questions if you don't mind. ? How often do you have to work overnights in the program for clinicals? Does everyone do it at some point or does it depend on their clinical placement?

How are you liking the program? Any doubts on your chosen profession?

No worries, I had all those questions myself when I was applying ? You won’t have to do night shifts until preceptorship. During preceptorship you follow the schedule of the nurse you are assigned to and do all their shifts, nights included. If you’re placed in a community or clinic setting for preceptorship, your nurse will most likely be doing a Mon-Fri 9-5 type schedule and then you wouldn’t end up doing nights during preceptorship. The nights suck but you do get used to them. I’ve enjoyed the program and loved how quick it’s gone by. And I’m very happy to be graduating soon and getting to start my career as an RN. Nursing is a really vast profession and I love knowing that if I get tired of working in one unit or area, there’s so many other options out there!
