Time off

How do you planning spending your time between semesters. I don't mean reviewing material and doing dosage calculations. What are you going to do that's fun?? I'm going to Disney World for a week!

Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

We went to Seattle last year for Spring Break, and this year, we went camping. I graduate in May, and am having a minor surgery I've been waiting for, since it wasn't feasible to heal while doing clinicals on my feet all day. Good fun! LOL

Specializes in public health, women's health, reproductive health.

I'm going out of town to see friends I haven't been able to see all semester. I have one week and I'm going to live it up. :-) Really, mostly what I'm looking forward to is RELAXING and, for a couple of days at least, not worrying about assignments or tests or grades. It will be awesome!

Specializes in Emergency Department.

What I did between semesters truly depended upon the length of the break. During the Summer break, I'd spend about 1/2 of it doing whatever I wanted when off work. Last Summer, I was able to go to Hawaii for a week with my family. About 3-4 weeks out, I start reviewing for the upcoming semester. During the Winter break, I do some light review/studying throughout the break unless we go on a vacation for a few days.

Cortisone shots for carpal tunnel. :/ I couldn't really use my hands for 2 weeks and no computer or texting for 3.

Once I'm over that it's out to the gardens!

Specializes in CVICU.

Last summer I went to Mexico, this summer I'm going to Argentina.

Specializes in Hospice.

Sitting on my dock reading my kindle (instead of textbooks), going to the beach and sea glass hunting. SLEEPING. Working. (boo)

Specializes in Operating Room.

Over winter break, I went on a cruise. :-) Summer, I'll be back to working full time, but I'll be going to some concerts and whatnot. My husband and I have another cruise booked for December- just like last semester, we'll leave the day after finals. :-)

going home. Thats my favorite. It doesn't happen often

I only have two weeks off so we are spending a weekend down in Florida (beach time yay!!!) and then reading all the non nursing books I can!!
