dh came to tell me about glasgow airport before i went to sleep after my nightshift this am.
my first thoughts are for my daughters and where are they?
they were planning to fly to visit their dad, and glasgow is our local airport back home.
after i knew thay were safe, my next thoughts are hoping that nobody we know is involved. my cousin works there and another cousin is a policeman there, and most of the people we know back home would fly from there today for their annual holidays.
yeah it makes you wonder what's gonna happen next, who is up to what and who is plotting under our very noses. Its a crazy world we live in now, there is a constant threat from this kind of thing, getting search ed everywhere u go, all the CCTV watching us, I remember going to tenerfife last year and having to taste our babies food and milk before taking it on the plane, it was gross!
I am flying back to the UK for 3 weeks on thursday. I am not too concerned but I hate going through airport security in the US as the TSA are usually rude and disorganised and shout at all the passengers. I understand they have a job to do but if the brits can be organised and polite about it ,I don't understand why the TSA can't!
I am trying to convince myself that now is a good time to fly due to the increased security everywhere!
I came to the US last year just as security became heightened again - I think that this is probably the safest time to fly - never had bags checked more vigorously!
DDs boyfriend flew back to the UK today from visiting her in Germany - as far as I know he arrived safely.
I am off on holiday to Europe soon and not looking forward to travelling, but I guess these checks will be a necessary evil from now on...

It is just terrible what is going on back home again in Scotland and London. My thoughts go out to my home country and all the stress they must be going through.
