Spring 2009 Classes

Maybe it's a bit early, but I am curious as to what classes everyone is planning on taking next semester.

For me:

Anatomy and Physiology II

Microbiology :)

If I don't get into the program for spring and have to wait for fall I will be taking my last two co-reqs & an extra just cuz course

Micro

Algebra 2

Medical Spanish I (actually I start this in November)

Eeek- I don't even want to think about my spring calss load.

I know I'll be taking A&P !!, and re-taking development psych (because it has a 3 year expiration and I took it 3 1/2 yrs ago grrr).

I will also be taking whatever the 1st semester LPN courses are.

I think it will be a 16-17 hour course load.

Physiology, Micro, and a critical thinking class. Woooo.

I just finalized my Spring 09 classes today...oh, boy! My program is officially 4 semesters starting next fall, but in the spring we take half nursing classes and half gen ed pre-reqs before starting the real program.

So my classes will be:

Gen: A+P II and Lab

Gen: Micro and Lab

Nur: PathoPharm I

Nur: Intro to Nursing

Nur: Health Assessment and Lab

All together=16 credit hours (18 classroom hours counting the two hour labs)

AAAHHHH!

I have to take 3 sciences at once and pass with a C in all of them to continue on the nursing program!

Oh well, better get used to no life now:bugeyes:

I'm taking A&P II, BioChemistry and Psychology Human Growth and Development.

I am still trudging through all my prereqs. (I'm working on my AS degree, and then will do the concurrent RN-BSN program)

Next semester I will be taking:

Intermediate Algebra

Biology

Nutrition

Humanities

Developmental Psych

I have another 3 semesters until I can enter the nursing program.

I'm still working on pre-reqs as well, hopefully will be taking A&P II and economics next semester. I'm trying to get my BSN pre-reqs out of the way at the same time as my ADN pre-reqs so that I'm all set to just roll over in the BSN program when the time comes.

Wow, I am sure amazed at all of you. I will be taking General Biology and English 102. I am considering taking A & P 1 as well but I work full time during the day and I dont know if I want to go that far! Good Luck Everyone!

A&P II and Micro if I don't start the nursing program.

A&P II and nursing classes if I do. I am on the waiting list, so, I am waiting.....

If I don't get into a nursing program...

Organic Chemistry (my only remaining prerequisite for BSN programs)

Maybe some other random class if it helps with financial aid or qualifying for a campus job

I'll hopefully get a job at the tutoring center for Physio/Micro/maybe Anatomy/whatever else I'm qualified for in order to keep those subjects clear in my head and get some money.

But I'd really rather get into a nursing program!

Physiology + Lab

Nutrition

Biochem/Orgnanic Chem + Lab

Developmental Psych

15 credit hours

For all of you taking Micro in the Spring -- I'm taking it now and I love it! It's a very interesting course and the lab is the most "fun" science lab I've ever taken.

For what it's worth, I think you're making the right decision by not overloading. Going to school & working full time is really hard. A lot of students I see who work and overload sacrifice higher grades which they may need later if they ever decide to go into advance practice. Good luck!
