Shoes for Uniform??

hey I was told we will need white leather tennis shoes for our uniform during clinicals. Which ones are the best to get? What are some ones that y'all have purchased and liked? Thanks in advance!!!

I like the Nike Walker AS V! You can find them at Kohl's, Famous Footwear, and Zappos.

Cool thanks!!

I wear Reebok Classics. Just get something comfy. You'll be on your feet for long hours.

Sounds good to me!! Thanks :)

White leather, either lace or Velcro, w/ white soles, from Dillard's; about $40; a name brand, but they're in my locker at work.

PM me & I can respond in more detail about the brand, etc. If no Dillard's in your area, Dillards.com. (I assume that would be the URL; I know they sell on-online.)

(These are men's; not familiar with what they carry for women.)

I wear New Balance tennis shoes. I've got like four pair, plus the hideous white ones I had to buy for school. Lamesauce. They look like something a geriatric person would go walking. Just throw in the black socks. If Nike made wide widths I'd get those too.

I don't know why we wear white shoes with black scrubs. Who does that? Seriously?

FYI they can't require you to wear leather shoes. The school I did my CNA training at had that the shoes must be leather in their syllabi but I'm vegan and don't wear leather. Shoes just have to be solid white and waterproof. I have a pair of nursing clogs from Dickies and love them.

Do they have to be tennis shoes? If not I have one word:

DANSKO.

Seriously, the single most durable, nonslip, back friendly, foot friendly shoes on the planet.

I wore only Dansko's while I was waiting tables, I've had the same pair for around 7 years now. They sell them with backs, and as backless clogs, or clogs with back straps. You have to get "fitted" for them though (not a tough fitting, they just want to make sure you get the right size because they're supposed to "flop" when you walk) so I wouldn't recommend buying a pair online.

They are QUITE hard to break in, but once you do the break in period is well worth it.

I'm looking into Alegria's - they sell them on their website and on Zappos - I bought a pair of clearance sandals (same footbeds and soles and man are they comfortable!

I just picked up a pair of New Balance walkers and they feel awesome. Easy to find all white shoes in the clearance bin, especially since I figured out I can find women's 9 1/2 shoes a lot easier than men's 7 1/2!

My last pair was K-Swiss tennis shoes and those were really good.
