Wow its almost here, one more 8 hour shift in PACU then off to TCU I go. Its kind of sad in a way, I have been there for over 17 years working in SICU & PACU. I have made lots of friends that are more like family than co-workers. The Docs and the O. R. gave me a going away party man lots of food with a 3 FOOT cake wow!!! I can't wait to get started, see all you guys there. G. Conn RRNA

YOU ARE RIGHT, IT IS ALMOST HERE. MY LAST DAY WAS LAST WEEK. I HAVEN'T BEEN AT MY JOB AS LONG AS YOU, BUT I HAVE MADE MANY FRIENDS AS WELL AS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. IT WILL BE A BITTER-SWEET SITUATION WHEN I LEAVE. WE ARE MOVING ON THE 15TH. THE SOONER WE START THE SOONER WE CAN FINISH. SEE YOU IN A FEW DAYS!!!!!! I WILL BE IN HAWAII FOR THE NEXT WEEK FOR MY FINAL VACATION FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS. THIS IS GOING TO BE A LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE. WOW.

PS. TCU USES RRNA INSTEAD OF SRNA. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. IT STANDS FOR RESIDENT REGISTERED NURSE ANESTHETIST. THAT IS ONE AMAZING TITLE TO PUT BEHIND A PERSON'S NAME.

Hello,
I graduated from University of Maryland SON, in 2002. I'm now trying to get into their CRNA program. It would be great if someone just starting a program would be able to keep an online journal here online...just day to day details of life as a crna student. I know that those students have zero free time, but this could work as a support group for the student and prostpective student.
thanks,
Chris

This is a GREAT idea! Make it a new topic.
you know its kind of funny you guys mentioned this cause I am going to try and keep a journal on live journal.com from beginning to end. Glenda
I know I was thinking of doing the same. Just in a book or on the computer or something like that. I'll have to check out the journal.com thing.
