Scrub sizing vent...grr....

I bought some scrubs from Lydiasuniforms.com. The pants, I'm not sure what brand they are, Cherokee I think? (the logo is a tiny triangle).

Well, i bought a size large. NO, i didn't check the sizing chart. I am 5'2 and around 170 pounds. I need a size large. Well, the size large pants are so big in the waist that they fall down my hips! I had to grab up a handful of the waistline and tie it up with a hairband to keep them up (no real drawstring).

We won't even get into the fact that I am way too short to be a nurse, too, according to these uniforms. They are "regular" length (didn't have petite) and and I hemmed em up 2 inches and they still are too long.

LOL. Check those size charts.

Try being a tall nurse. Companies assume everyone's under 5'6". At least you have the option to hem them. It's not like tall people can take fabric and add it to the bottom without it looking stupid.

You too huh Marie? I'm 5'11 and a bit and always have trouble.

Ugh..that's not good news. I'm also 5'11" and I have a hard enough time finding regular pants. I FINALLY was able to get jeans that were long enough (I have about a 34" inseam) through a catalog (Newport-News, for anyone who also has the same issue). I don't want to go through it all over again!! :crying2: Pooey.

:rotfl: I'm 5 11 too ! But I found some scrubs in the Sears catalogue that are just perfect! Anyone interested ...just ask and I'l drag myself away from the computer to check the company name. :)

When you order on-line, there is a reason that they give you a size chart, companies are free to call a size as they want.

Sorry about us 5'11" gals hijacking the thread. :)

Yes please, Z. Interested in checking it out, thanks.

I wear white denim jeans. I can't stand the way the thin cotton fabric of scrub-style pants DO NOT hold my post-cesarean tummy in. :) Gotta have some firmer fabric.

I also have to be careful with the tops . .. some ride right up my tush. Hate that too.

I'm 5'6".

i'm 5'9 and have very long legs and ran into this issue for CNA clinicals last month. I know i will be in for trouble come next spring when I (hopefully!) start the RN program.

Well they're from Sears as I mentioned and they're made large. I have a 35 inch inseam and I wear a medium and the pants are longish on me . The brand is called Protocol. 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The pants are 32-34. And long like I said. I'm also fairly slim but I have room to grow in these. The top is not huge but also room to grow. Has pockets evrywhere as do the pants. (w/velcro snaps)

Funny....all the designers have these tall leggy types modelling their clothes but they distribute the clothes with half the length lopped off the bottom of all thier pants. Go figure.

And when was the last time you saw a tall section for women in a store??

Not to mention some of the tall catalogs for women feature things that Dorothy would have worn on The Golden Girls.
