3rd shift and bf

I've been working the night shift for three months now and have recently started feeling resentment towards my boyfriend. We've never had issues before. He works during the day outside building challenge courses and training staff for them and I'm inside up all night and asleep when it's nice out. I feel animosity because he gets to be outside in the sun where I love to be and I'm asleep all day and up all night and don't get to enjoy it. It's a stupid thing to feel upset about but I just miss being outdoors and especially being outdoors doing fun things such as testing zip lines with him.

I don't have any brilliant advice OP. It sucks, but it's just part of being on nights, I guess?

Basically

I hate to be Captain Obvious here, but get a day shift job. I'm a singleton and I left a night-shift job in my MICU after about a year and a half chiefly because being up every night when I wasn't at work (I rued doing the whole body-clock switcharoo on my days off) and during winter felt pretty depressed. No shame in doing what is going to make you feel better. I don't know what the boyfriend thing has to do with it.

I repeat myself. She hated missing being outside with her boyfriend during the day. She said nothing about not adjusting to the night shift.

If she is working days she is missing being outside with her boyfriend just as much!

How many shifts do you do a week? If you are doing 3 12-hour shifts, on your days off, keep a daytime schedule. ON my days off, I would then do the things I wanted to do. If you are doing 5 8-hour shifts, keep the day time hours on your day off,. There is no need to constantly be on a night schedule.

What is appealing about the night shift? If you really like it then you are going to have to learn the balance. I did nights for 3 years, and on my days off I would always be outside or looking for activities to do that were not at night. I

It's not his fault, don't make it his problem.
