If your school offers it Pharmacology or Med term.... I know not great fun.. but my program doesn't have them as requirements (we kinda learn as we go..) I took Pharm, and now am so much better off.. everyone else is lost or worried about the math competency test (must get 100 or your out) and I feel really confident about it.
I have been wait-listed for the Spring 2007 semester, but instead will enter the Summer of 2007. Not that big of a deal, and in fact, I was expecting this. However, I need to maintain half-time enrollment (6 credits). The problem is I have taken every class you can think of! This is my 4th year of school (I changed my major 2 times), thus I have a wide array of classes under my belt (110 credits already). I signed up for 2 online blow off classes, even though I know I will get nothing out of them.If you had to take one or two classes outside of the pre-nursing, nursing, and science curriculum, what would you take? On top of that, I don't want to necessarily stress myself out this semester with 2 hard "fun classes", but rather classes that are enjoyable, but yet semi-easy to do well in.
Any thoughts?
I loooooved my ceramics class....or try "Jewelrey making"...how about Bowling....I later joined a league and keep having fun bowling to this day :roll
LOL, I would also take ceramics, but my first undergrad was in ceramics, so I LOVE it, or some other art class. and for the other one I would take a beginner acting class...I really enjoyed speech and was good at it, but I also think it would be a great prep for learning to work and speak well while being watched.
I have been wanting to take a photography class but have never been able to fit one in. I love to write and would probably take an english course, though that is not everyone's cup of tea! I also loved my Religions of the World class that was a prereq for the private school I go to but not for many others. It was an easy A and really interesting, especially if you are into politics and the mess in the Middle East.
I'd consider taking biochemistry (for nurses or allied health, if available). I'd do this even if your program doesn't require it. You learn so much about the 'why' behind giving certain meds, metabolism, etc. For example, you learn why following your AB with orange juice might not be a good idea...plus much more.
Otherwise, I'd take a psych class on personality disorders. More in-depth knowledge of the PDs is invaluable in life and nursing.
I personally think Western Civ and World Religions should be required of all students.
Beyond that, there's always the classes like weight lifting...etc.
I forced myself to take a class at the U which was about a part of the world I was finding myself increasingly angry with. I challenged myself to nip in the bud any budding prejudice and go deeper to understand.
Ha! You probably just wanted FUN ideas.

Maybe you could also learn to play a new instrument? I love music and should brush up on some of those skills myself.
