Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I Took The Rn - Nclex Exam Today 8/01/07.... I Stopped At 75 Questions..i Had Lots Of Meds, Priority, Some Peds, Some Basic Questions..some Hard Questions..no Med Math..had One Intake Question And One Put It In Order Question...my Question Is...is It True That If You Got The Last Question Correct..and Stopped And 75..does This Mean I Pass?

Most Of My Friends Say That If The Last Question Is Correct..then You Passed The Rn-nclex! Is This True?!?!?!?!?

Im Soooooooooooooooooo Scared :'(

All it means is that the test is over and there's nothing you can do now, but wait! I know it's easier said than done, but YOU'll DRIVE YOURSELF CRAZY if you sit there and keep trying to figure it out. Just relax and enjoy the fact that you don't have to study anymore. GO OUT and do something fun! :)

goshhhhhhhh..it is easier said than done. i am really bad in standardize test....but with this test..i really tried my best to study for it. i feel like i critically guess on most of them :'( whooooooooaaaaa....

And that's normal to feel like you guessed on most of the questions ..... the test is set up so you only score about 50%. Believe me, it's NORMAL to feel that way!

boy, i hate google-ing info for nurse stuff because it seems like a lot of info is old (e.g. 2006 or earlier). i know this is especially annoying when it comes to pay, because a few years can make a big difference in what people are now making.

anyway, i figure i should put in my 2cents worth to give prospective, anxious, and nervous nursing students a little piece of mind......

so this section asks about passing the NCLEX-RN. this is my story:

1. most of my classmates had 75 questions.

2. they had almost 100% pass rate. (a classmate had 75 and didnt pass)

3. i, personally, had 135 questions.

4. i WANTED more questions because i felt i had not "proved" myself to be a competent and safe nurse. (more ? is not necessarily bad. its just the test giving you more chances to prove yourself) but the test ended.

5. i also missed my last question. (looked it up when i got home). :o

6. needless to say, i was pretty bummed

7. good news: i passed!! (results posted in 3 business days in Calif)

so, avoid myths about missing the last question, or anything about the # of questions. its a hard test. if you feel good coming out, you probably did poorly. if you feel like youre the biggest dumb nurse and you failed, you probably passed.

hope this helps! best of luck

i sure must hope that i'm dumb in my next try... maybe the reason i failed is that i felt confident that i passed........... =(
