I just took my examine today and my computer shut off at 205 questions I don't think I passed. I was told that to pass the computer usually shuts off between 85-150, but it is possible to pass at 205 questions. Is there anyone that actually passed at 205 questions because I don't hear to many people that do.

The number of questions means absolutely nothing. It is the type of questions that you get that means more.
Nurse have flunked with 85 as well as passed with 85. Also the same holds true for those that got the maximum number of questions.

The number of questions you get means absolutely nothing. Each persons tests is different to a certain degree. When the computer feels that you are well enough above or way below the "pass line" then it will shut off. The pass line is basically when the computer feels that you are competent enough to practice safetly and effectively as a nurse. When you go up to 205, as far as passing, the computer only looks at the last 60 questions not the entire 205. The was told to me by my instructors and my NCLEX-PN review instructor. So don't second guess yourself, be positive, and good luck to u .

i am a senior now in my lpn program and this friend of mine who just finished the program took his nclex-pn last month and got the maximum questions and he thought he had failed because he got so many questions especially he knew most of his classmates who took the test shut off at 85 questions and passed. but he passed and he is so happy. i heard the test is adaptive and you don't know how many questions you will get. i hope you passed.

My sister took her test 2 weeks ago and passed with 205 questions. She was convinced she failed. I have heard about quite a few that pass with 205.

You should be prepared to answer the maximum amount of questions. Although I only had 75 questions and passed, other students had over 200 and passed as well. Suzanne4 is absolutely right in her posting. It doesn't matter how many questions you get. My sentiment is that most of us feel like we have failed after taking this test. I too thought I failed. I continued to study for two days before getting my results-Don't do that to yourself.
Good luck to all of you and congrats to the rest of you!
