  1. I got my RN at 40. I went to a very busy , high acuity urgent care for about 3 years, then went to ambulatory clinics (Ob/gyn and primary care). I do wish I had atleast 1 year inpt. Experience but that’s my preference, I didn’t need it. I don’t think 2 years inpatient is necessary. Can you do 1 year? Good luck
  2. Yes, 23 is over the hill. If you have a goal in mind, stay on track. I went into nursing in my late 30's. Didn't get into micro for a semester( class was full). Had to quit physiology half way through because of the needs of one of my daughters. Started algebra homework in a hospital room because my 8 yr old was in traction. life happens. Don't give up or compromise! Oh and I'm 57 and went back for my BSN. Will graduate next month ! You can do it! mara
  3. What can I expect from Capstone? One big paper, multiple assignments, tests??? I start class 1/4/16 Thanks!!
  4. We give everyone a tour. If we like the candidate, we ask them to come back to interview with others. Good luck!
  5. I was VERY nervous to start the program and each new course. I'm about 80% done. I also procrastinate and didn't do very well in college (many years ago) You will be fine. Just know you have to spend the time and it will be worth it in the end. I'm actually enjoying the nursing courses. I start Stats in May. Very nervous about that. Just remember, take it a week at a time and before you know it, the 8 weeks have gone by and you're done!
  6. RN. I did the LPN thing . Not worth it. also was late 30s when I went into nursing. Go for your ultimate goal!!! good luck
  7. Ashley, I'm in wk 6 now. What's your topic? Mine is Domestic Violence.
  8. Thimba, Thanks for the insight. I'm going to take the January class as well and am apprehensive. You calmed my nerves a bit. Ashley 84190- see you in the posts!
