  1. Thank you! Cannabis has helped so many people, it’s a shame that nurses are shut out from using this beneficial medication. I have bad neuropathy from years of being on my feet and 2 foot surgeries. I’m still a working nurse and wish I could use this natural medication in the evening instead of gabapentin and handfuls of ibuprofen. Nurses can use hydrocodone, benzos, and other narcotics while on-the-job as long as they have a RX and are “not impaired”. High levels on a drug test cannot even be reported to management by the MRO if there is a RX. Legal cannabis is still seen as a “demon weed” and just a trace amount THC metabolite in urine, even with a RX, will cost you your career! Shame.
  2. When POTUS says we need to open things up, exactly how long do we keep everything shutdown? How many people suffer and commit suicide or put off going to ER due to fears of COVID? How many people lose their homes and businesses before we ‘open up’? How many people die of colon cancer due to inability get a colonoscopy? Its easy for people with well-paying jobs to say “shut everything down!”. Not everyone works in a hospital and makes a good salary. We have families with one breadwinner who MUST work and many other situations. Tired of working nurses and doctors griping about opening businesses and ignoring calls of people who are suffering from the long term damage of unemployment and business closure!
  3. I definitely feel for the nurse in the story. At least I’m not in that situation. I recently lost my job and am terribly depressed. My company fired all 4 nurses in our group. So at least I’m not alone, I have support of the other 3 nurses. I’m interviewing, but so hard to go in with smiling face and try to act enthusiastic about another nursing job. On a normal day I’m living paycheck to paycheck. Don’t know what I’ll do when the bills start stacking up. So worried about losing my house! Ugh... Hopefully I can get up the energy to go to the doctor and get help before my health insurance ends in 2 weeks. Sorry, read the story and had to vent! Martha
  4. So that all you took from the cover? Skin Color!? I was wondering how long it would take for someone to bring race or some other unrelated topic into the discussion..well...there ya go! First comment... ugh!
