  1. great article! as a new grad--most of us expect to get night shifts starting out our career. getting a handle on those all-nighters is one of the biggest hurdles (or so i've heard)
  2. thank you for this article! i will need this upon my graduation in may!
  3. I wonder if anyone thought about answering those questions? They sure are difficult to respond to...
  4. This is an incredible story. I hope to have your strength as a nurse one day. Thank you for sharing.
  5. This was very interesting to read. It's difficult to have to use Nanda verbage. I wish there was another way to verbalize patient needs after an assessment than going through a list
  6. Congratulations on passing your exam! And thank you for writing this article! You have given me confidence that if I study hard and have a positive attitude then I will pass :)
  7. This is a great thread and one that I will return to in the future!
  8. Great advice, as always.
  9. How long were you at the parkland sicu and when did you change over to the ER?
  10. @TWU80, SICU at Parkland is my absolute dream job. thanks for the advice on this thread!
  11. Hi @meraki86! I just posted a similar thread to yours. Could you please give me some advice on parkland sicu? i want to PM you but I think my profile is too new...

Hi everyone! I am writing this post in the hopes of getting some advice. My ultimate dream of dream job is to be a Parkland SICU nurse. And no--I do NOT want to be a CRNA. LOL--I have nothing against people who do want to be CRNA's but many people assume if you want to be a SICU nurse then it's so you can become a CRNA eventually. Anyway, I applied for the Parkland SICU residency today. If I'm blessed enough to get an interview--I would love advice. I know there must be a few Parkland SICU nurses floating around this website somewhere! Any advice is much appreciated!
