  10. Nine can be a lot when you're a fresh cna and are learning how you handle things and multi task. I'm a med aide and a pre-medicine student I work at a assisted living facility and have 80 residents in the AL side and about 80 more on the IL side. There's only two med aides and two caregivers per shift and i get everything done an hour before I get done with my shift to then do charting and stock my cart and insulin boxes. You'll get the hang of it :-)! Very rewarding and definitely has it's ups and downs.

  16. I have witnessed herself not wash her hands after using the restroom and go straight into the kitchen.
  17. Discussion with a fellow pre-nursing student: I said, "I'd love to be a geriatrics nurse." She goes "gross." I said "excuse me? " She goes "yeah. Old people are gross." I said "they do the same things that you do!" She goes "I'd rather be a pediatrics nurse." I said "they do the same thing!"
  18. Thanks for the abundance of input for the BlueSky Scrub sets! I'm still wanting to try a pair.
  19. Haha. It definitely is my field. :-)

  22. OP, you are a mandatory reporter. If you don't then you are just as bad. Contact the ombudsman and submit in writing to your DON right away. I'd also contact State and the department hotline number. These residents need you.
