I have worked over 300 codes, intubated , well need I say more. When I worked as an aide, I was given alot of crap about that. Well needless to say I married the charge nurse lol. Anyway who cares what people say, this is a different time gay or straight except it and go on!!!!

He would have ran away screaming if it was C-diff lol, you have to pay your dues, I despise tools like that they don't belong in the nursing club!!!!

If they would encorporate some of that stuff in the nursing books it would be great. Chemistry was a complete waste of my time, but world religons was helpful, I could go on but oh well just being crabby I guess:)

My personal opinion on taking classes that really do not have anything to do with nursing suck. If they focased on the nursing and passing boards maybe the pass rate for yhe nclex would be better. Are you going to be a math,english or writing major or a NURSE. Just my opinion want to see what others think!!!!

Take it again are you worried about it that much, are you not ingesting the info correctly? You can always get a tutor to help you. Dont be afraid to ask for help. Suck it up and go get your RN, there are always hills to climb and opstickles do what you need to do to finish the program you can do it. Your only failing yourself, Your wasting time, cowboy up and get it done;-)

I kind of feel like its a just a way to get you to rack up more tution others would say different. My wife has an ASN and she is a great nurse, personally Its overated. Im going to LPN school after that Il bridge over to RN but thats it. Really unless your going to be an NP or going into management forget it. But thats my opinion!!!!

When I enrolled in school they did a criminal background check that I paid for, and checked my credit report. Alot of schools will not let you in if you have a criminal background its a waste of your time and there's. I know in Missouri you have to have a criminal background check before you can even go to nursing school. Hope that helps.

Really liked this post thank you. Now my 2cents: My wife is an RN a great nurse I learned alot from her, she did not make the best grades in school. Grades are not everything. Just keep busting your butt in school, your teachers see this. Im in an LPN program now after my kids are all in school. I worked as a tech/ CNA/ ward clerk/ EKG tech/ EMT it has been a long road but finally in Nursing school. I am just as passionette now as I was then. Glad to be taking the next challenge. Im not super smart but what I have learned is common sence and good PT. care will get you very far.

I agree you must empower yourself to start over and stay teachable. Not being afraid to look at Pt. care from a diffrent point of view. Not afraid to ask questions.

I applied for 1 lpn program and got in. I felt this is the best route to go instead of getting put on a wait list. Think of it like this, while others are on wait lists and doing pre req. You get done in a year, get your hands dirty and have the oppertunity to bridge.

Try to get as much expierence as you can my story is I was an EMT / I went and got my C.N.A and started working in the hospital my wife and I decided to have kids. She worked days I worked nights 12h shifts and stayed home with my kids now at 41 Im beggining my nursing career.

Im a Nursing student I got accepted into a diploma LPN program, dont let anyone discourage you on how you obtain your degree. My wife has an ASN and makes 70 a year in the O.R. there is work out there without running up you tution bill.

Got accepted into an LPN program to start April 15th. You do what you have to do to get into school.Most important thing while everyone is sweatibg it out in BSN programs, Im getting real world expierence when I get out of school and while Im bridging over. My wife has an ASN and makes 70 a year in the O.R. A BSN is overated. You can make good money without one.
