Best Nclex review in manila
I used kaplan nclex on demand. I followed all instructions of the program. Also, I used La Charity PDA which I believe must be read at least 2 x before taking nclex. Good luck!

Eligibility validity
Try writing to your board of nursing. My wife had an ectopic pregnancy during the month she was supposed to take her NCLEX and the board was ready to extend eligibility. She just needed to re-register again to get new ATT.

Patient ratio/assignment, acuity and holdings
Another issue I have is boarding/holding patients. How long does a patient once admitted to ICU level of care stay in your ED?
-
Patient ratio/assignment, acuity and holdings
Ok. What state and area are you from?

Patient ratio/assignment, acuity and holdings
Hello! I would like to ask, what is the usual/common and acceptable nurse-pt ratio in the ED you are working? 1:4 is what we have now. But if you get the trauma room, you will only 1 more monitor bed.

Patient Assignment Plan ED
Ideally we have 8 nurses. 1 charge 1 triage 1 desk/fast track 1nurse=3monitor beds+1hallway bed 1nurse=3monitor beds+1hallway bed 1nurse=2isolations+1monitor bed+1hallway bed 1nurse=trauma room+1monitor We don't have break or relief nurses. We work 8 hours/shift and have on calls among ourselves. We do have 3 techs equally assigned by beds I wanted to see how other EDs would do their pt/bed assignments

We have 12 monitor beds 2 isolation rooms and 2 trauma rooms and we have 4 hallway patients as needed. We go by rotation taking 3 monitor beds and 1 hallway bed as needed. Which part of the state is highly recommended to start raising a family
My wife is also BSN graduate from Manila Philippines and she is reviewing for her NCLEX RN exam soon. That's really a good thing to consider! The kind of environment that best suits us! I was only considering at first was a place with a great neighborhood to raise my kids.

NURSING CAREER
I graduated 2006 and I had to do volunteer or residency work even at that time just so I could get a job in a hospital. Just keep on applying! If this is really your career path look at some other places to work in to. They have now what they telehealth or telemedicine or they call it nursing informatics. :)

NURSING CAREER
There is a very tough competition here. And the only way to be able to come here for a work visa is to level up your credentials. And getting a work visa here through employer would also require those 3 things I mentioned. Like here in Guam, we Guam Regional Medical City that will open up soon. They hired pinoy nurses with a work visa. That is different with the employer based petition where you get a green card. The priority date for employer based petitions are almost current it is now jun2014. It means those who have applied in the recent years may now be granted with green cards. There is so much to understand but when you try to research how to come here you will be able to. But then again it is not going to happen in a snap of a finger. It takes hard work, experience and time.

Relocating to Houston!

I only have 1 year of ER nursing experience here in Guam and 3 years of medsurg experience in the Philippines - will this be of help in landing a job?
-
