  1. I also start in late August! No longer a pre-nursing student...I'm so nervous and excited! I'm doing 6 courses this Fall and starting with a 3.33 gpa...my goal is to gradually make it up to a 3.5 & above. I've heard stories that the prof of my pharmacology course is really tough and most students drop the course after the midterm. Too bad I didn't know this before I registered with her! Aaah. I got my textbooks on my iPad a week ago. I'll have about a month to get a head start with reading. I'm determined to beat procrastination and study my butt off. I don't know what to expect overall with clinicals but I'm ready for whatever. Good luck to all!
  2. Thanks for the heads up. I will take Pharmacology in the Fall.
  3. You are amazing. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
  4. I want to take A&P II and Microbiology this summer. I would've liked to take a language course but I'm pretty sure these 2 courses will keep me swamped! This is my first semester doing pre-reqs and I really want to get them over with quickly.
  5. This is hilarious. As a student, I don't know how I'll initially react to my first encounter with the bodily functions of strangers but I do know that I'll get over it. Nursing is what I want to do & I'm not gonna quit over some poo.
  6. My friend tried to discourage me from being any type of nurse because of "the long hours and dealing with people's poop". On the other hand, my family has been amazingly supportive and I trust their insight more (my aunt and my cousin are both nurses).
  7. I can feel your excitement and I share that with you. Congrats and all the best moving forward! I'm also 26 but I'll be 27 when I start in January. I was nervous but not anymore! (ok, maybe a little bit)
  8. I can feel your excitement and I share them with you. Congrats and all the best moving forward!
  9. Thanks for the suggestion. I've never heard of LaCharity.
  10. Expressing thanks for all of your posted notes! This is wonderful!
  11. I will be starting nursing school next year @ age 27. I'm very nervous about returning to university, much less studying science, so I've started reading/studying a few books/guides this month. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this! I really appreciate it! ^_^
