  1. Thanks for that information! You guys are all helpful. Im worrying about pharm more than anything right now. You guys pretty much confirmed what I had thought about it. I can see how it can become really time consuming. Is it more memorizing rather than connecting actual concepts? Im planning on going to Barnes and Nobles to pick up a few NCLEX review books for that subject so it wont be such a shock when its time to study during the semester. Im hoping it might help figure out how to approach the subject when the class actually comes.
  2. What are the toughest courses in nursing school and what is your advice on how to prepare or do well in them? (Study before class starts?, use certain resources, ect.)
  3. On a side note, once your out of high school, all the work youve done in it really doesnt matter anymore, unless your applying straight to a UC. (sucks I know) Theres plenty of people that did well in HS that didnt get into a nursing program, while I barely graduated and got into one. Everything pretty much resets once you're in your college work.
  4. If you dont have the motivation to push through it from the start, personally, I dont think it may be worth it for you. Its not all that easy getting a perfect 4.0 in prereqs and a TEAs score of 90+. If your doubting your ambition towards the requirements already, it's going harder to motivate yourself to finish the requirements when classes and tests start to get tough. There is a lot of competition, like you said, and there are a lot of people hungry for the opportunity to get into the program. On a brighter note, if you do decide it is worth it, you already know what is required to get a spot in the program, now you just have to do it. It's very doable but you have to have the motivation for the 2 years of prenursing.
