Sorry, I just read your thread. I am a DTCC grad. I did the LPN in '08 and then did the LPN-RN transition program. I graduated in '11 as an RN. The program is tough but durable. You can do it if you put your mind to it and work hard at it. DTCC is one of the best community colleges in NC. Employers will take DTCC grads over some university grads. Good luck to you. Don't give up. I passed my nclex-rn after 2 attempts, which seem 3 was the charm. It doesn't work all the time tho with 3 being the charm. But anyways, I graduated in '08 as and LPN and passed nclex-PN with 85 qts on first attempt. I went back to school in '10 and graduated from the LPN-RN transition program in '11 at a community college in NC where I live. By the way it's a 3 semesters program which starts in Aug. and ends in Dec. without the summer semester. Due to the high # of drop-outs in summer, the sch decided to take summer out of the curriculum for only those doing nsg, all others went to sch doing the summer semester. To cut long story short, I took nclex-rn 2 wks after graduation because I thought as an LPN, I wouldn't find it difficult. With 75 qts, I failed. I took it again after 45 plus days failing again at 251 qts, this time running out of time. Because I thought I went too fast the first time, and friends and family saying the same thing, I went slowly the 2nd time reading into the qts. The 1st time, no study materials, only my brain. the 2nd time, I used the 3500 qts CD, Kaplan q&A CD, Davis Q&A CD and other sources, yet, another failed. A friend of mine send some resources from this site so I created an account and found this 35 page study guide with SPIDERMAN for infection control and other mnemonics here that was really helpful. I was on this site pretty much every day finding as much help as I could. Somebody on here posted this book below and how it helped him/her. I went right away and ordered mine. Pls get it if you can. This is a must have book. After going thru this book, I took nclex-rn the 3rd time and passed at 75 qts. I also bought the LA Charity book along with this book and did 500 Qts per day. I took off 2 wks from work to do this and I am so gald I did. I passed boards in March '12 and currently working as an RN in a psych hospital. P.S A friend of mine has been taking nclex-rn for 3yrs and couldn't pass. Shame and embarrass, he gave up. I lent him this book with the LA Charity book and told him to read every page in these books and to continue to do qts as well. Today, He owes his success to me and can't stop thanking me and telling friends and families how I blessed him. He passed nclex-rn this past June. I only wrote this story to tell you that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Don't give up. You've done so much to give up now. Trust me, when it's all said and done, your life will be transformed. You can do it. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

If the CC page comes up after you tried to reregister, that's not a good sign.

Yes it means within a 48hrs period. I am in NC and took mine on 5/14/12 at 8 Am. Quick results were up on 5/16/12 at abt 9 Am. Ppl were telling me to wait and check the board's website, sometimes that doesn't help either because my license # wasn't posted until 11 days later after my quick results. I was still panicking eventhough I did the quick results and passed, I thot it was a mistake so I kept checking on a daily basis. On day 10th after my quick results, I emailed the NCBON to find out why my # wasn't up yet. They said I was missing a document. I asked which document? The lady said check where you verify documents to see what you are missing. I said ma'am, I know Pearsonvue will not send you an ATT until you complete your documents and payment. She said well you are right. Then I said so why the delay? She said well let me look at your file again then I'll call u back. Well, she did not call back either. Next day I got an email from the board apologizing for the delay saying it was their fault and informing me that my license # was up. When I checked, it was surely up. It was a nightmare. Hope by this time tomorrow, u will find out u pass. Good luck to u.

Pay the 75 for your BON and the 200 to pearsonvue. You don't need to summit any other document again. The waiting period is 45 days in some states while other states have a 90 days waiting period to retake. Good luck on your next take.

Congrats. I am a firm believer in the PVT. It worked for me when I took it and passed on 3 tries too. First 2, CC page, 3rd GPU msg.

sorry to hear that. Take few days off to rest and recuperate. Then get right back on track again with the study. I failed mine twice but just passed May 14th on 3rd attempt. You can do it. The first 2 attempts, I got the CC page. The 3rd, I got the GPU. The 2nd time I got the CC page, I didn't even bother to do the quick results cause I knew I failed. I say register ASAP when the money becomes available. Good luck to you.

Some drugs will have both names and some don't. When I took mine this past May, I had some with both the generic and trade names and some just the generic. Try to learn them with their surfaces, eg lol, pril, zole, mycin, etc.

I used the pearsonvue comprehensive nclex-rn review and rationales book along with the delegation, prioritization, and assignment book. Try to stick with one or two books and do as many qts daily as possible. If you do qts, read the rationales whether you got it right or wrong just so you know why the ans is right or wrong. sorry to hear that. You will do well the next time. Relax for few days and get back on your feet. Before you know it, 45 days will be over. do qts daily. know your contents, infection control, meds, endocrine. etc. I just passed my on 5/14/12 after failing 2x so I know just how you feel. This two shall pass.

Ok, I want to share this with you if you live in NC. I have been an LPN for 2yrs. I completed the transition program from LPN-RN on 11/14/11. I took boards on 1/23/12 and failed at 75 qts. Took it again on 3/12/12 and failed running out of time at 251 qts. Finally passed on the 3rd attmpt on 5/14/12. The 1st time, I took it at the raleigh center. I didn't get the CPR from them to see how I did(strengths and weaknesses). The 2nd time, I did it at the Durham center. Got the CPR outlining the areas I was good in and the areas I needed to concentrate on. 3rd time, I did it again at the Raleigh center passing at 75 qts. I did the PVT on all 3 times. I got the CC page on the 1st and 2nd attempts. On the 3rd attempt, I got the GPU so I thought well, I'll not do the quick results because I trust the PVT. Well, to calm my nerves, I did the quick results and passed. I did not see my # on the boards' website counting on 10 days. I said wait a minute, something isn't right. I picked up the phone and started dialing some #s and emailing some folks to find out what was going on. I finally got somebody on the line who said i didn't turn in all my documents and until I do that, my # will not appear on the website. I said ma'am, I am a 3rd time retaker. I turned in every single document b4 testing the 1st time. I said It's impossible for the boards to send you your ATT knowing you haven't send in all required documents. She then said ok, I'll check into it and call you back in few minutes. I didn't get a call back. The next day I called again, nobody answered. I check my email and got an email from the boards with an apology saying it was their fault that my # wasn't up. Just before the day ended, my license # was up. All in all, it took 11 days to have my # posted. Have I not done anything and waiting for my # to show up, by now it will not be up. I heard ppl saying sometimes it takes 3-4 days or a week for your # to show up. Well mine was way over the limit. I am so excited but just wanted to share this with you if you live in NC. With all the stress I went thru, I really wanted to see that # up there so badly. From the 1st day I verified it on the website, the # stock in my head and I was saying it all day and even in my sleep. LOL. Good luck to you all planning on taking Nclex. Call if your # is not up in 3-4 days!!!!

My prayers to you. Please be positve. I've been in your shoes. I passed on the 3rd attempt. You just have to work a lil extra harder than what you've done so far. At least it helped me when I put in more time than the first 2 attempts. Don't give up. This will be the last time for you to sit this test. Claim it!!!!!!!!

I know the feelings of retaking nclex. I passed at my 3rd attempt so you can do it. Focus and forget what is out there or what ppl will/are saying. There's nothing impossible when you believe. Do a lot of practice qts daily. set a target # of qts daily. I did 400-500 qts daily X 2wks. Make sure to read all rationales whether you got the ans right or wrong. It helps a lot. You can do it. I took mine on 5/14/12 exactly 5 months after graduation. So I gradauted on 12/14/11 from the LPN-RN tansition program. Took nclex on 1/23/12 and failed at 75 qts. Took it again on 3/29/12 and and failed at 251. Took it the 3rd time on 5/14/12 and passed at 75. Keep pressing on. I know the frustration and stress, but you can do it. Do a lot of practice qts and make sure to read all the rationales whether you got the ans right or wrong. I took off 2wks from work and did 400-500 qts daily. That was the best decision I've ever made. It changed my life forever. Good luck to you and know that God is with you.
